It wasn’t long before Zach was taking deep, even breaths. Rupert stroked a hand over his chest in slow, rhythmic movements.

“Something on your mind, Rupert?” Quinn asked.

He bit his lip and shook his head. “No, nothing.”

Though he could argue, Quinn rested his head against Deke’s. He’d missed him terribly, and now that he had him again, he didn’t want to let Deke out of his sight. Quinn kissed Deke’s hair, wincing at the unwashed body he held. Still, as bad as Deke smelled, Quinn would never let him go again.

“We’ll be back to Lydon in a couple hours. Why doesn’t everyone get some rest,” Gareth said. “It’ll be good to see how the kids are driving Dani up the wall. I wonder if Caleb has spent any time with them.”

At the sound of Caleb’s name, Lyram whimpered. Quinn hoped the two men would figure out where they were going in their lives, because it was obvious to him that Lyram could never walk away from Caleb.

Quinn closed his eyes. Home would be nice. Chicago had been good—at least until Klein—but if Deke didn’t mind, Quinn would never want to leave Lydon again.

Because for the first time in his life, he had a true home in the arms of his mate, and with the people who took him in and made him family.
