“You okay, Caden?”
The concern in Matt’s voice was obvious. “Yeah, I’m fine.”
“Doesn’t sound like it.” Kieran opened his arms, and Caden decided getting drunk wasn’t what he needed, but closeness. He went to Kieran and stepped into his arms, Matt encircling them both. It was warm and comfortable, but it lacked intesity and fire. Caden was a romantic at heart—and who wasn’t?—but he also wanted passion from his lover. He wanted to be their everything. Someone who would love him fiercely and completely.
“Uh-huh, right. Want to try that again?”
A deep sigh rolled out of Caden. “This is all too much, you know? I thought I could get a handle on everything, but just when I think I’ve gotten to the point where it makes sense, someone yanks away the finish and I have to start all over again.”
“Aw, honey, it’s okay. We’re here and we’ll take care of you. You know how much we love you.” Kieran chuckled. “You’re like the sister I never had.”
The laugh felt good. A big, deep, gut-clenching laugh that flooded Caden with warmth. “I love you guys, you know that?”
“Yeah, we know.” Matt kissed his forehead. “You just need to love yourself.”
“Uh, hello? Don’t you remember that night we came home early from that sucky movie? If memory serves, Caden was loving himself pretty damn loudly.”
Even though he laughed, Matt shook his head. “What am I going to do with you, boy?”
Kieran batted his eyes and fell into Matt’s arms. “Keep me forever, Sir.”
“Oh, God. You guys aren’t helping.” Caden pulled away. “I’d ask if you had a good night, but judging from the ring around Kieran’s neck, I’d say that was pretty much a given.”
The door banged open and there stood Quade, chest heaving, nostrils flaring. He stared straight at Caden, and his eyes narrowed. “Get out.”
For a second, Caden thought Quade was kicking him out, but then he saw his gaze flick to Matt and Kieran.
“We were just leaving.” Kieran snickered, then stepped back and winked at Caden. “Good luck.”
Before he could utter a reply, they were gone out the door, pulling it closed behind them.
Quade moved slowly, closing the distance between them. He still looked angry, and Caden thought he should be afraid, but right now, he was aroused like he never had been before.
“I can smell you. You’re leaking.” Quade’s voice was gravelly. “And it’s not the first time, is it?”
How do I answer something like that? How do I admit that, hell yes, I’m turned on? That just being around you gives me a hard-on?
Easy. You charge them, shove them up against the door, and show them how you feel. And that’s what Caden did. Quade’s eyes widened, but he quickly got with the action. He put his hands under Caden’s pits and lifted him off the ground, not breaking eye contact.
“Fuck, that’s hot.” Caden was ready to do anything Quade wanted of him.
Quade spun him around and shoved him against the wall, knocking the wind from Caden. He set Caden on the floor again and buried his face in Caden’s neck, inhaling deeply. The shudder that went through Caden had Quade chuckling.
“What brought this on? I thought you weren’t interested in me.”
“Shut up.” Quade nipped at Caden’s throat. “No talking. The only things you can say are ‘yes,’ ‘no,’ or ‘Oh my God, harder.’ Nod if you understand.”
Hell yes, Caden definitely understood. He nodded enthusiastically.
“Good. Strip and take your ass into the bedroom. It’s time you and I got better acquainted.”
“Can I… can I take a shower first?”
Quade leaned in again and sniffed. “No, I love the way you smell. Get in the bedroom.”
Quade loved the way he smelled? God, that was sexy as fuck.
“Oh… okay.” He turned around and yelped when a heavy hand smacked his ass.
Oh, shit. This was going to be great.
