“Ah fuck,” Hades mutters, running his hand through his hair. “Yeah, that does explain it.”
Khaos shrugs, his eyes on me, “He’s just going to have to get over it.”
Hades nods, “He is, we aren’t going anywhere.”
“Good,” I reply bluntly. “I need to go and fight out some of this extra fucking tension.”
Or fuck, but I’m not sure I should suggest that right now.
“It’s a good job we’re near the gyms then, come on,” Kill says, his gaze watching my expression closely.
He most likely has already guessed where my mind went.
I look at Hades and Khaos, “Can you stick around for a bit?”
Khaos pulls me close and dips his head to kiss me, his lips meeting mine, and draining the last of the tension out of my body.
“We can stay for a short while,” he tells me when he pulls back. “I don’t want to leave you at all.”
I smile as we head back down the corridor of offices and to the closest empty gym.
My excitement immediately starts to take over my uncertainty over the recent events. I wasn’t lying when I told the others that I wasn’t going to bury my head in the sand and pretend that I hadn’t just been told that my parents are gods and a Goddess. I’m a goddess, but a really rare one because gods and goddesses shouldn’t be able to have children, and that two of my dads are actually people whom I know, respect, and like.
I’m not ignoring it. I just need to fight out some of the overwhelming shit so that I can deal with it properly without blowing something up.
Oh, it’s been far too long since I’ve made something explode. Maybe I should blow something up? I feel like that would help.
The guys all suddenly stop and turn to look at me, all of their eyebrows high on their heads, while Khaos, Loki and Mayhem just grin.
“What?” I ask.
“Why did we just get an image of something blowing up come through the bondlines?” Storm asks, trying not to look amused.
“Because that would make me feel better,” I reply with a smirk. “Don’t worry, I’m not going to blow anything up. Not yet, at least, let's see how the sparring goes first.”
Khaos smirks as he reaches into his pocket and pulls out some explosives, “I’ve got some if you change my mind. It won’t take a lot to make it go boom.”
Chapter Twenty-One
Farren
Ilet go of his hand and reach into my pocket, “Hey, me too. Although I’ve got more in a Void pocket in case we need to blow up anything bigger.”
Khaos just stares at me with a smile playing around the edge of his lips, until Hades claps him on the shoulder and seems to bring him back from wherever it is that he was.
“I told you, brother,” Hades says.
“You did,” Khaos confirms.
“Alright you two, let's put the explosives away for the moment and come back to it later, when we’re not in an academy,” Storm suggests, his eyebrow raised slightly.
I sigh and reluctantly put the explosives away, Khaos doing the same.
“Maybe you two shouldn’t have that in your pocket while we’re sparring,” Reaper suggests, with a worried frown.
“Relax,” Khaos and I say together, sharing a grin.
“Well, I feel like this is going to become dangerous,” Loki smirks as we walk through the doors, “now we’ve got two of them that want to blow shit up.”
