“Like I wanted to eat you?”
Jonty widened his eyes. “No. Like you wished they had one in your size.”
“You looked so sexy, I had a hard time not giving the guy fifty quid to lock us in the shop for fifteen minutes.”
“Fifty quid? He’d have locked us in and watched for that. Though not after I’d mentioned the blood. But fifteen minutes is a bit disappointing.”
“Hmm,” Devan said. “I bet if I wrapped my hand around your cock, you’d come within three minutes.”
Jonty stared at him and Devan could have sworn his eyes darkened. “Do it now.”
“We’re in the middle of Alnwick.”
“No one will notice.” Jonty smirked.
“Let’s go back to the car,” Devan croaked out.
“You want to do it in the car park?”
“Yes, but that’s not going to happen. I’m not going to do anything that risks either of us getting arrested. I have plans for later. We need to buy food.”
“This house has lots of board games. I saw them piled up in one of the pictures. We’re not going to be short of something to do.”
“Right.”
“And my favourite TV programme is on tonight.”
“What’s that?”
“Naked and Afraid.”
“Don’t they pixel out all the good bits?”
“Not backsides.” Jonty grinned.
BUYING THE FOOD WAS FUNtoo, though Jonty had a bit of freak out when they’d walked in, because he thought he’d seen Brad. Devan kept his eyes peeled, but there was no sign of the guy. Even so, it was a reminder that they needed to be careful.
“This…and this…and these,” Jonty said.
Devan had to keep taking out stuff that Jonty put in the trolley.
“We don’t need three large bags of garlic,” Devan said.
“But what about vampires?”
“I’ll protect you.”
Am I forgiven?Jonty seemed almost his normal bouncy self, despite the worry about Brad, but that didn’t take away the fact that Devan had let him down and he’d probably lost his job. Devan was going to sort that, though he’d have to talk to Jonty about what he wanted to happen in the long term.
“Want pizza tonight?” Devan asked.
“Can I cook? Is there anything you don’t like?”
“Liver, Brussels sprouts and sardines.”
Jonty gaped at him. “On a pizza?”
“On or off a pizza.”
