Jasim wished he could joke about it. “Sadly not.” He took a deep breath. “Whatever we have has to stay a secret. If you can’t accept that, then I understand, but I’d be grateful if you didn’t tell anyone.”
“I’ll be careful.”
“You’re accepting this too easily.”
“I’m a Haflinger.”
Jasim laughed. He loved that despite everything, Ru could make him laugh. “Do you understand what I’m telling you?”
“That you’re not out, you can’t come out and I have to be careful not to push you out.”
“Yes.”
“See you at three.” Ru ended the call.
Jasim didn’t want to worry this was going to end in disaster, but disaster seemed to follow him around.
