Nix tried to show no reaction. So Vindidknow the grey-haired guy.
“Maybe if you told me what you were up to, it would give me a clue as to what I’m supposed to do,” Nix said. “I’m working blind here.”
“We’ve been confined to Hell for too long. The souls Greyson’s collecting will give us a way to the surface.”
Nix was fairly sure theusdidn’t include him.
“Then why do you need me?”
“You have to stop the angel. Kill him again.”
Nix’s heart lurched. “No. Go away.”
“Let me take charge.”
“Fuck off!”
Nix opened his eyes to find Emmett shaking him. Nix wrapped his arms around him and hugged him tight, his heart hammering.
