“You’re delusional.” Louis’ jaw twitched.
“So what?” Corey said. “Who are we hurting?”Be strong. Be the dom you say you are.It sounded like Tal’s voice in his head. Corey lifted his gaze and met Louis’. “Never interfere again. You do not tell Tal what to do, to get up from his knees, to give me up. You do not call me a kid. You do not question my choices or Tal’s. I trust that’s understood.”
Tal squeezed his fingers and held tight.
“Don’t make him choose,” Corey said quietly, a flutter of panic seizing his chest. “Tal sees enough in me to give me a chance. You should give me a chance too.”
There was a long silence. It was Benjamin who broke it. “I am so turned on. A baby dom. Good thing I’m taken, otherwise…”
Louis elbowed him in the chest and Benjaminoofed, then laughed.
“Are you any good at board games?” Louis asked Corey.
Corey shrugged.
“Ah. You are. Good. We’ll play later.” He turned to Benjamin. “You! Upstairs. Right now.”
After they’d left the room, Corey let out a shaky breath.
“Well done,” Tal whispered. “I’m proud of you.”
Corey leaned against him. “My heart is going crazy. Do you really remember everything?”
“I’m pretty sure I do. Jefferson. Christmas trees everywhere. The snow sculptures. You singing and playing the guitar. Milking me. I don’t understand any of it and I think it’s probably not wise to keep wondering. All that matters is I met you on a snowy lane and you saved my life. You are the best thing to ever happen to me. And if Louis makes you feel awkward, we’ll go to my house. You can live with me. You can have your own room. Or you can share mine. Or, if you want, until we know one another better, I’ll find you somewhere to live. And I’ll help you find a job or I’ll help you think about what you want to do. Back to university if you want. Just…be with me, please.”
“How can I be anywhere else?” Corey lifted his T-shirt, pulled off the plaster, folded it up and put it in his pocket.
Tal let out a shuddering breath.
“All better,” Corey said, then kissed him, pushing his tongue past Tal’s lips and into his mouth. It was a kiss full of passion, full of relief, full of everything they felt for each other. Those last few minutes could have gone so wrong but they hadn’t. Tal’s fingers were digging into his hips and they rocked into each other. Corey wanted to be in Tal’s world, to live in it. Not because he had nowhere else to go, but because this was what he’d longed for. Tal pulled him in tighter against the hard line of his cock and thoughupstairswas on Corey’s lips, “You’ve got to wait,” was what came out of his mouth.
Tal groaned and pulled back. “How long?”
“As long as I want.”
Tal’s eyes darkened. “Then let’s start making dinner. I need distracting or I’ll explode.”
Corey smiled.
While the oven was heating up, they peeled potatoes, parsnips and carrots.
“What are they doing up there?” Corey asked.
Tal shot him a look. “Guess.”
“Oh.”
“I suspect Louis is taking his frustration with himself out on Benjamin. He knows he was wrong.”
“Is that okay with Benjamin?”
Tal nodded. “Benjamin likes it when Louis is pissed off. Louis doesn’t go too far and he makes up for it afterwards. Benjaminreallylikes that. He can be a bit of a brat.”
“I can’t imagine you behaving like that.”
“I don’t. Though I do…”
“What?”
