Corey had put nothing underprepared to considerand a lot in thewon’t do. He’d put far more extreme things than Tal had written. Some, Tal hadn’t even heard of. Scarification? Though he could guess.Ugh.His heart was leaping around in his chest. He wasn’t sure he could believe their compatibility. He’d given up hoping and now he was trying to deny what he was reading.

You already knewsaid a voice in his head. You just didn’t want to accept it.

“Don’t,” Corey snapped, dropped his legs to the floor and sat up straight.

“Don’t what?”

“Don’t talk yourself out of it. We fit. I thought we did from when we talked before but this confirms it. I was going to put more in theprepared to considercolumn because I want to be the right person for you but then I decided that wouldn’t be fair unless I really meant it. I should be honest. And I have been.”

“So have I.”

Corey gave a heavy sigh. “Okay. So maybe we’re not a dom and sub. Maybe we’re just opposite sides of the same kink. Bondage, yes. Discipline, no. Domination… Well, I want to be in charge but not in a hard way. Submission… I want someone to do what I want but not someone who wants to be hurt. Does that make me a dom and you a sub?”

Tal opened his mouth to speak but Corey kept going.

“I want you. I want us to be in a relationship, but I know I’m not good enough for you. Not yet. You’re hot and I’m not. Youlook like a model and I don’t. You’re clever and I’m not. You’re successful and I’m not. I’m not in any way a catch, whereas you are the rarest, most special creature in the world and anyone who caught you would be so lucky.” He gulped.

“But… I think I look okay. I like my hair this colour. I like wearing eyeliner and nail polish. I’d get a tattoo if I could afford it. I’d wear better clothes if I could afford them. I work hard, but my choice of jobs is limited. I’m not stupid. I’ve never stopped learning. I never will. I want a better job. I can be successful if I have the chance. And maybe I’m hotter than I think and I can be good enough for you if you give me time to learn. Despite what I said, I don’t think I’m inferior to you, just different. Opposites attract, right? I want you to give me the chance to be what you need.”

Oh God.Tal couldn’t speak. How could Corey think he wasn’t a catch? That he wasn’t hot? Corey was smarter than him. More everything than him, including braver, kinder, more considerate, likeable, funny, adventurous…So tell him!

“If you don’t want to, then maybe we could still try the teaching thing. What do you think? You could show me how to be a dom for someone like you. Will you? Is that asking too much?”

Tal pushed to his feet. Corey had opened his heart, bared his soul and Tal wanted to do something in return. He had no words, but he could show him. He dropped to his knees, clasped his hands behind his back and bowed his head. He’d wanted to see Corey’s face, capture his expression, hold it in his heart, but part of him was afraid that once he’d seen it, there would never be anything as beautiful for him.

“Oh my God,” Corey whispered.

Don’t make a joke. Please.

Corey rose from the chair. “Tal! Look at me.”

Tal lifted his chin and looked straight at him. Corey’s face was pale, his eyes wide and bright, his mouth slightly open.

“I can’t believe…” Corey broke off.

As Tal stared at him, he saw Corey’s eyes fill with unshed tears.Oh God. What have I done?

“Is this what you want?” Tal asked.

“Is it whatyouwant?”

Tal almost laughed. “I’m on my knees. My choice.”

His cock was still hard. So was Corey’s, the bulge clear as it pushed against the zip of his jeans.

“Will you suck me off?” Corey whispered.

“Not if you ask me.”

Corey’s mouth twitched in a nervous smile. He unzipped his jeans and pulled out his cock. “I don’t want to make you wait because I don’t want to wait.” He reached out and cupped Tal’s face, drawing his finger over his lower lip, pulling it down, then let go to drag his hand to Tal’s neck. Tal shuddered, his eyes flickering closed for a moment at the sensation of Corey’s fingers tightening.

“Look at me,” Corey said.

Tal looked.

Corey smiled. He still held his neck but not too tight. “Suck me off but you’re not allowed to come.” He hesitated, then added, “You’re not to touch me with anything but your mouth. If you do, I’ll make you have my reindeer framed and you…have to have it on your desk at work for…a week.”

He looked so pleased with himself that Tal didn’t have the heart to tell him that’s what he’d planned to do, though on his desk at home, not work and not for a week, but for much longer.
