I make it to class at a reasonable time, and I allow myself time to relax and shake away all thoughts of yesterday with deep breaths and deep stretches.

Yoga was a very welcomed distraction, and I leave the studio feeling lighter. I needed to get rid of the lingering feelings of my actions toward Evan yesterday, more specifically the embarrassment. I’m never that impulsive. Or horny. And now, I’m confused. What happens now? Do I act as if it never happened? I don’t even have a way of reaching him. I still know nothing about him, and the more I think about him, the more I wonder about his life. The whole club emptied last night at the snap of his finger, and I question how he has that much power. Could he be involved with the Vasilakis family?

I guess I’ll have to wait and see what happens.

I make my way out of the studio at the same time as Emily, the instructor, and I thank her for the wonderful class. We briefly chat about our plans for the day as we exit the building. We part ways, and I turn around to head to the coffee shop when I hit something solid. Ireallyneed to become more aware of my surroundings. The collision causes me to take a few steps back, and I look up to see—you’ve got to be kidding me—Evan.

“Are you going to make a habit of running into me?” he asks with an amused smirk.

“I see you’ve got jokes this morning. Maybe I wouldn’t run into you if you weren’t everywhere I go,” I say dryly, rolling my eyes at him.

“I thought the only time I’d get to see your eyes roll back was when my fingers were deep inside of you,” he replies with a smirk.

I blink, and I immediately turn fifty shades of red. Evan laughs at my reaction.

“I should’ve known that would be the first thing you’d bring up, asshole.”

Evan laughs again and the sound is music to my ears. I’ve lost my damn mind.

“Of course,” he says. “How could I not bring it up? It was quite…memorable.”

“I doubt I’m the first woman you’ve pleasured in your car.”

His face turns serious, and he looks at me straight in the eyes. “You are.”

I don’t believe him for one second. The hottest man I’ve ever seen claims I’m the first woman he’s ever touched in his car.Right.

“Anyway.” I change the topic. “What are you doing around here? I’ve never seen you in the area.”

“You’ve just never noticed me.” He shrugs. Impossible. Evan is the opposite of unnoticeable.

“I was just headed to the coffee shop, so I guess I’ll see you later,” I say, awkwardly.

Evan tilts his head to the side, as if to get a better look at me, and squints his eyes. It’s like he’s trying to read me, and it makes me feel exposed. I shift uncomfortably on my feet.

“I’ll walk with you. I could use a coffee, too,” he finally says.Shit.I was not prepared to see Evan the day after my little lapse in judgment. I don’t regret what happened, but I’m still embarrassed by my behavior.

He turns around and walks in the direction of the café, but I stay put.

He looks back at me and sighs, an annoyed expression on his face. “Walk, Angelica.”

I follow him hesitantly, like a puppy being commanded by its master.I am clearly not okay.

As we get to the entrance, he opens the door to let me in. I walk inside and see my favorite barista, Anna, at the coffee bar. She smiles at me and asks if I want the usual. I nod and Evan says, “Make that two.”

I turn my head toward him. “You don’t even know what my order is.”

He reaches into his back pocket to pull out his credit card and casually responds, “Double-shot espresso, half-sweet, vanilla latte with oat milk. Extra hot with a sprinkle of cinnamon.”

He gives Anna his card as I stare at him dumbfounded.

“How the hell do you know my exact coffee order?” I ask him, stunned.

“You shouldn’t be surprised, moró mou. I knoweverything, and whatever I don’t, I’ll find out soon enough,” he states.Run for the hills, Angelica. Now.But guess who stays put, staring at this tower of a man.

“I don’t even know what to say.” Truly, I’m speechless.
