She smiles and swoops in to hug me. “I like your little green monster. Hot.”
Then she dances off with half the bags to get ready.
I do the same, wearing one of the two suits I had made, this time I match it with a black shirt and tie. And I slide the router into a special compartment.
When she finally comes out, my mouth drops.
She looks fucking incredible.
Black lace corset. Micro mini. Red stilettos. Stockings. Smooth band of naked thigh.
I don’t think she’s wearing underwear, either.
I close the gap, ready to find out when she slaps me away.
“No,” she says, “Save it for the club.”
“The fucking club.”
My phone buzzes. Our car is downstairs and I help her into her long red coat.
Shit. I don’t know how I’m going to get through the evening with everyone looking at her.
Wanting to taste. Touch.
It’s going to be hell.
Chapter Twenty
VIOLET
I turnto Cade as we’re driven to this club, the Dungeon. “If you tell me what’s off topic and what’s on, I’ll scream. I get it. I sometimes spew out words. And it’s a good strategy having in my head avenues to tumble down, but…we need to be real, Cade.”
“Wearebeing real.”
He looks so hot I can barely think straight, barely breathe. He always looks good, but there’s something about his all black outfit being a sharp three piece suit that melts panties.
If I was wearing panties.
He’s all jealous over me. At least, I think he is. Because he seems to want me to make myself as small as possible and stick to him like glue, which I intend to.
But what about him? The women there are going to take one look and drool. Want him.
I know deep down he’s been to places like this before.
I’m all nervous energy, and he’s cool, thinking of other things than being in a sex club.
“Really real. This Thomas gave you an invite, knowing you’re a hacker?—”
“Yep, and he might invite me to look at his system, and he might not. If he doesn’t, I’m going to need for you to not let anyone near you while I disappear. Go to the bathroom or something. Go wait in the car. I’ll say you don’t feel well.”
I look at him. “That’s utter bullshit.”
“I’m trying to protect you.”
“Cade.” I take a deep breath. “He might want you to work for him, but he’s also intrigued as to why you met with him over the club. You went for whatever opportunity you thought best…”
I shake my head as he goes to speak. “I don’t need to know the details. But he could have skipped tonight and gone straight to making an appointment with you in his offices. Or not wanted me there. We need to sell him on the fact we’re into this. Which…which we are.”
