“I’m coming around tothis.”
He kisses her then. Her lips taste of the salt from the sea and for a moment they are cold from the water too, but as he sweeps his over hers, they begin to warm, as if he’s breathing life into her. Her hands slip around his neck, tangling up in his hair and tugging ever so gently as her tongue glides along his bottom lip. He sighs and grips her ass, his kiss deepening, asking more of her as he slips his tongue into her mouth. She locks it between her lips and sucks on it as she grinds her hips into his.
He pulls back, looking down into her now dark eyes. “Did you lure me into the water so you could seduce me?”
“Did you lure me to this beach soyoucould seduceme?”
He can’t deny it. He brought her here tonight, hoping he’d get to fuck her on the sand, knowing she has that streak of danger like him that would be willing to take the risk.
“You better fucking believe it, Omega.”
He scoops her up, and walks them back towards the shore, the water smacking against his thighs as he wades through. When they reach the edge, he drops her down onto the wet sand. Her skin glows that same silver in the moonlight, highlighting every curve of her body, her skin shining with water. He bends down to his knees, his cock already stiff despite the cold water.
“I’m proving to be a cheap date, you haven’t even fed me yet.”
“There’s nothing cheap about you, Ruby.”
She meets his eyes and he sees the bob of her throat as she swallows. He reaches out a finger to trace down the line of it, following the trickles of water as they slide down to her collarbone. He traces the tattoo at her shoulder and the one around her breast.
“Do they mean anything?” he asks.
“Some of them.”
“And yours.” She touches the tattoo that sprawls over his right pec and down his torso, a wolf baring its teeth.
“Mine are pretty transparent. You see what you get with me.”
She strokes down the body of the wolf, making him shiver. “I don’t know if that’s true.” She glances back up at him. Her eyes are so dark, like midnight. “I know music. I knowyourmusic.”
He shakes his head. “That’s all Ash.”
“That’s a lie.”
He leans over her, caging her torso with his braced arms. She spreads her legs, the soft touch on his chest turning to the scraping of her nails. “I think we’re good at lying to each other.” Perhaps they are both hiding things. But there’s no doubting the truth of it when their bodies connect. There’s no hiding then.
He sinks into her warmth and she moans, her nails sharp and urgent now. She wants him to go fast, to pound her. But instead he rolls his body into her, his pace mocking the waves at their feet. He watches her face. The way her eyelids flutter and her throat stretches, the way her lips melt open and her skin flushes.
He kisses her gently, arms wrapping around her body.
“I’ve never lied to you,” he whispers.
Afterwards they dress and rest against the rocks, eating the burgers from their laps.
He can’t resist watching her again as she takes the first bite of burger, wanting to see if he was right.
She chews, her jaw working, and bobs her head from side to side. “Hmmm,” she muses.
“Come on, don’t give me that bullshit. It’s the best.”
“It’s not bad.”
“Me and Trey did a tour of all the burger joints we could find, looking for the best. We had a little grading system. And this one won hands down.”
“That sounds really rock-and-roll!”
“Fuck, you know it’s not all parties and screwing.”
“Yeah, I know. Alison, our manager, has got us doing back-to-back interviews for the next two weeks. I hate those things. Being asked the same stupid questions over and over again.”
