When he breaks the kiss, he doesn’t let go of me. “I have two confessions to make,” he says, resting his forehead against mine.
“Oh?”
“I’m here to escort you to my place. I’m not giving you the chance to back out.”
“OK.” I nod.
“And I got something for you?” He plunges his left hand into his pocket and pulls out his fist. He lifts it between us and opens his hand.
A fine gold chain trails across his palm and in its centre hangs two tiny oars crossed over one another.
I touch them with my forefinger. “It’s so pretty.”
“I told you I want to spoil you.”
“Are you sure that’s all this is?”
He smirks a little as he fastens the chain around my neck and allows the oar charm to drop over my chest.
“People know about you now, Rosie. They know you’re an omega. You’re going to have other alphas sniffing around. So, yeah, maybe I want them to know you’re mine.”
I swallow as I finger the necklace. I don’t know how to feel. Things are moving so quickly between us. I’m being swept along in his current. But instead of feeling like I’m drowning, I’m floating, suspended. I’m happy to be carried away.
We walk back to his, stopping on the way to pick up chicken and salad, which we eat at the huge communal table in his giant kitchen. The house is empty, and when we’re done, he leads me immediately to his bedroom, taking me on my hands and knees on the floor.
“You wanna watch a movie?” he asks afterwards.
The TV room is more like a mini cinema. The room is windowless and black, and a screen dominates an entire wall. A few large sofas are positioned around the room, and we settle down on one together, Zane wrapping us up in a blanket.
The opening credits have just finished, when the door at the back of the room opens and Duncan strolls in.
“What you watching?” he asks, sitting down on a sofa next to ours, a can of lager in his hand.
“A Marvel movie. Rosie’s never seen them.”
“You never saw them?” He cracks open the pull on his can, capturing the emerging foam with his mouth.
“It’s always an endless loop of Disney princess movies back home.” He looks at me quizzically. “I’ve got four little sisters.”
“Ahhh.” He nods, then leans back on the sofa. “Thor is the best.”
His scent curls into my nose. It’s more earthy than Zane’s, reminding me of wide open spaces and freshly cut grass. I try not to notice how well the two alpha’s scents blend together, how they make my gland tingle.
Perhaps Zane notices though, because his fingers venture under the hem of my top, skating across my stomach, stroking my skin and creeping higher and higher until his hand slips under my bra and cups my breast. I stifle a moan as he rolls my nipple.
It’s dark in this room apart from the light from the movie. I don’t think Duncan can see what we’re up to, but I can make out the outline of his face and the glint of his eyes.
My nipples harden under Zane’s attention and he leans down to kiss me. I push him away.
“We’re not alone,” I remind him in a whisper.
“I don’t think Duncan cares if we’re fooling around,” he replies in a voice that’s far too loud. Duncan turns and looks our way and his alpha eyes find mine.
“You think I didn’t hear you the other night. The whole street heard you the other night.”
“She sounds good when she comes, doesn’t she?”
Duncan’s gaze locks with mine. “She sounds delicious. She had us all hard as stone.” Heat crawls across my skin and slick trickles from my cunt. “She smells like she needs to be fucked,” he adds.
