“Yes?” I squeak.

“Ollie Reese-Hamilton? Did you know he’s connected to the royal family?”

“Yes,” I squeak again.

“Does Zane know? Or … does this mean you’re in the pack now?”

I pull my fingers through my hair and squirm on the mattress. “I’m not sure, it’s complicated.”

“So … you’re cheating on Zane?”

“No, NO! It’s how things work with this pack.”

Sophia whistles lowly. “Ollie Reese-Hamilton. You lucky bitch. He looks like–”

“A Greek god.”

“Yep.” Sophia laughs. Then she stops. “But just be careful, OK, Rosie? These guys, they’re … experienced and–”

“I’m fine, Soph.”

“OK, good. Well, have fun and I promise not to rat on you on one condition.”

“What?”

“Tomorrow you hang out with me.”

“Deal.” I smile and hang up. When I look up, I find Ollie back in the room.

He puffs out his chest and flexes his biceps. “A Greek god, huh?”

I grab a pillow and fling it at his head. He catches it and then bundles towards me, pinning me to the bed.

“And now you will meet the full wrath of this god, mortal,” he roars in a dramatic voice, and before I know it, I’m being flipped over.

I wriggle my arse in encouragement and soon enough he’s fucking me.

Afterwards, we discuss what we’re going to do with our day.

He wants to take me out for lunch, but I’m still full from the roast last night. He has some other ideas about taking me underwear shopping, but in the end I find an idea.

“Have you ever been to the History of Science Museum?”

“I’m an arts student.”

“It’s amazing. Let me show it to you.”

“It’s where you work?”

I nod and then wink. “I can show you behind the scenes.”

“That does sound fun,” he says, sucking on my neck.

It’s late Monday morning by the time we arrive at the museum.

“I’ve always thought it looks creepy,” Ollie mutters as he stares up at the grey Victorian building with its gargoyles glaring down from the roofline.

“Oh, it’s much spookier inside,” I say. “It’s one of the reasons I love it.”
