I shrug. She wriggles closer to Hardy.
“Beautiful, I guess. It was a big puffy princess dress.” She smiles and I nod. Then the smile falters. “But now that I come to think about it, I wanted something even more puffy, even bigger, but Karl didn’t want me to wear one like that.”
“I’ll buy you all the puffy dresses you want,” I tell her. “And slinky ones,” I add. “And short ones.” I pause. “And those ones with the slit right down the front.” I lick my lips. “And those ones with no fucking back.”
She laughs. “I’m going to own a lot of dresses.”
“You are,” Hardy says. “We’re going to spoil you rotten, Bea.”
“I think you’ve already done a very good job of spoiling me these last few days,” she says, sighing with contentment. “You don’t need to spoil me.”
“We don’tneedto,” Silver says. “But wewantto. There’s a difference.”
“Fair enough,” she rests her head on Hardy’s shoulder, “just as long as you let me spoil you too.”
“You can suck my cock anytime you want to, little bird.”
She sighs a second time, like that is a very appealing idea.
I love this girl.
Shit, I love her.
“Love you, little bird,” I say.
Her eyelids flutter as she gazes at me.
“I love you too,” Hardy says, murmuring into her temple.
“Do you think you’d ever want to get married again?” Connor asks softly.
“Are you fucking proposing?” Hardy asks. “Because that is not the way to do it, man.”
The tips of Connor’s ears burn bright red. Something I haven’t seen since high school.
“No, I’m not … I mean I’d want to if … but I was just …”
Bea puts the dude out of his misery.
“I don’t know. After what happened, I didn’t think I’d ever want to date another man, let alone ever consider marriage again. But here I am living with not one, but six men,” she laughs, “so maybe one day, yes, I’d like to get married. But,” she says, and I sit forward on my seat sensing something important is coming, “I’d want to get bonded first. I mean, that’s more important to me than marriage and weddings and all that stuff.”
My heart pounds and even though I’m no longer in rut, I have that urgency again, that need to sink my teeth into her throat.
As I glance around my packmates, I can see that need shining in their eyes too, can hear the way Axel and Connor’s hearts pound through the bond.
“When?” Axel asks, his voice a croak. “When would you want to do that, sweetheart?”
“Not now,” she says, smiling at us all, “we’ve only been dating officially for a couple of weeks. But soon, I want to do it soon.”
Soon.
I flop back in my chair.
She wants to bond with this pack soon.
I grin.
That’s good enough for me.
