“I’m sure. Very, very sure. I believe they know they fucked up and I’m confident they aren’t going to fuck up again.”

“If they do …” Courtney and Molly say together.

“Then I will personally be removing their ball sacks with the knife Nate gave me.”

Courtney laughs. “She would, you know. She took a man’s eye out.”

“I think you’re going to keep those douchebags in line,” Molly says. “But what do you need our advice about?”

“The last heat was pretty awful,” I say, and I’m sure the expression on my face matches the one on Courtney’s. We’re both traumatized by that experience.

“I’m sorry,” Molly says, “I can’t imagine going through one alone.”

“If I’m honest, I’m scared this one will be bad too, even with my alphas.”

“It won’t be. Not if they’re focused on you and everything they can to make you feel good.”

“But how do I ensure they stay focused on me?” My previous experience with Karl, has shown me I’m not entirely skilled at keeping a man’s attention.

“Are you serious, Bea? Those assholes are crazy about you. Obsessed. You should have seen what they were like without you. When you went back home, they were like a pack of love-sick puppies. They were practically chewing up the furniture. I’ve never seen Hardy look so darn sad before. You are not going to have any trouble holding their attention.”

“What you need to do, though, sweetie,” Courtney says, her fingers creeping to the rows of neat macaroons Molly’s baked, “is make sure you’re vocal in bed.”

My cheeks sizzle and I pick up my cup and take a big gulp. I’m pretty sure I was vocal with Silver, Connor and Nate yesterday on the boat.

My cousin appears to read my thoughts. “Not like that,” she says, knocking her fist against my shoulder, “although good on you girl. What I mean is, don’t be afraid to speak up for yourself. To ask for what you want. To tell those boys when they do something you don’t like.”

“That’s half the problem,” I confess, “I don’t even really know what I do and don’t like.” I’ve never had the opportunity to explore my desires and fantasies before.

“Oh my gosh,” Molly says, “you are going to have so much fun in this heat. And,” she says, sliding the tray of macaroons our way and offering us both one, “I gave those boys specific instructions to fill that nest with sex toys. You’re going to have a wild time Bea.”

“I’m so jealous,” Courtney sighs.

“The nest has a sex swing,” Molly whispers.

“Bea, you’re a lucky bitch!”

I laugh. Maybe I am. Maybe this is going to be fun after all.

I’min the gym in the basement of the Stormgate house with Nate and Angel when Silver and Axel return from their trip to the doctor’s, Connor trailing behind them.

“Where’s Bea?” I ask immediately. I thought we weren’t letting her out of our sight from now on. Especially around damn doctors.

“Talking to Courtney and Molly about girlie shit,” Axel says, dropping down onto one of the benches.

“Molly?” I say, “ahh fuck.” Who knows what kind of ideas that girl will insert into our omega’s head. Naughty fucking ideas, that’s what.

I drop the weight I was using onto the mat with a thud and wait for the update.

“It seems,” Silver says, anger flashing in his eyes, an anger I can feel thrumming in his bond too, “that Hannah doctor was messing with our girl’s hormones.”

“Fuck,” Angel says, scrambling up from the floor where he was running through a circuit of sit-ups.

“Yeah, fuck,” Axel runs his hand through his hair. “It means she’s going to go into another heat.”
