“Now, remember what daddy said, and cry while you’re on this dick.”

When he did, he swirled his hips hard. She whimpered with joy as his hand rested against her lower back to the point where she couldn’t move. His penis began to hit places she never knew existed inside of her.

“Cry on daddy’s dick, baby. Do that shit.”

Like a boat on a rough sea, he plunged into her pussy as her body trembled. He bit, licked, and sucked all over her breasts. Her nipples pebbled against his tongue as they bounced against his mouth.

“Donovan, baby. I’m cumming, daddy. Shit.”

Her body tensed just before she came like a flood, his seed spilling forcefully as her walls clamped around his dick. Theentire time, he sucked and bit her neck, marking his territory. She used to hate it, but she loved sporting war wounds from their love-making sessions. Throughout the day, whenever they were apart, she’d take a peek and smile about how loved she felt.

“I love you, daddy. Fuck!” She held on to him as sweat covered their bodies, reveling in his sweet whispers of him loving her back as her body fell limp in his arms.

Once he lay Chaney back on the bed, she curled up in one position as if she were unable to move. Donovan couldn’t help but laugh as he watched the results of his work. He then leaned over and pulled the comforter over her body, only after admiring all the tattoos and bite marks she bore.

Her body was sick. He wondered how the fuck no man had scooped her up and held her down before him. He, however, was beyond elated that they hadn’t, even more that she’d chosen him. In his eyes, a bitch like Kaleela didn’t count. She couldn’t have, since Chaney’s pussy was tighter than a peephole the first time they made love.

Walking to the bathroom to relieve himself, he grabbed his cell. He advised Scooter that he’d be off the grid for a few days, but he still had responsibilities, such as checking in on his family. As he stood in front of the toilet, relieving himself, his cell began to vibrate. Once he was done, he checked it. It was Sashay.

“What the fuck does she want?”

He was contemplating answering, but after the conversation he and Chaney had, he had nothing to hide. He’d just tell her whenever she woke up.

“Yeah, what’s up?” Her response was a loud wail that pierced his ears, forcing him to take the cell away from his ear.

“Hey, hey! Shay?” he replied, trying to calm her down. “What’s wrong with you?”

“It’s-it’s granny.” She whimpered. “The paramedics just—Oh, God!”

“They did what? What the fuck is wrong with Granny, Shay?”

“I don’t know! She stopped breathing! Please, Dread Man. Please, come. I—I need you. What if she?—”

“Ain’t no ‘what if’? Don’t say that.” He shook his head, dragging one hand through his locs. “Granny strong as fuck. You know that.”

“Maybe not this time. She’s at Jackson. You know how they are.”

He did. They were known for trauma, mostly gunshot wounds, with hallways filled with cops but they were also known for killing motherfuckers. Their malpractice rate was higher than the average hospital in the nation. The doctors were overworked and underpaid, coupled with staff who secured degrees from unaccredited schools. For those in the hood, it was all they had.

“Fuck. I’m on my way.”

He quickly opened the bathroom door, seeing Chaney, who sat up with a creased forehead, rubbing her eyes.

“Everything’s okay?”

He huffed as he made his way to her. “No, but we have to go, baby.”

“Why?”

He felt his cellphone vibrating. He knew it was Sashay without checking, and he didn’t want to. If he didn’t make it before her grandmother’s untimely demise, he’d never forgive himself.

“An emergency back in Miami. Trust me, Chaney. I wouldn’t go if I didn’t need to, but remember what I told you about meeting Shay’s granny?”

“Meeting her now? Like right now?”

“Baby, please. Just come with me.” He started moving around, looking for his boxers first, before he sat on the bed. “She might not make it,” he whispered, his head hanging low.

She could hear the pain in his voice, her heart breaking for him. She rushed to the bathroom, found a clean towel, and commenced to cleaning herself up as quickly as she could. By the time she was done, he was dressed and on his cellphone.
