Feeling her soft hand in mine sends an electric thrill through my entire body and I can’t stop my fingers from tightening around hers, a small shiver runs over her body, my eyes notice the thin long sleeve top she’s wearing, one of my favourite bandsprinted on the front. Releasing her hand, I slip out of my flannel before wrapping it around her.

“What are you doing? You’ll be cold!” She tries to hand the flannel back to me but I grip her wrists in one hand, my fingers wrapping around her skin.

“Your concern for me is heartwarming, but I wouldn’t be a true gentleman if I let you freeze now would I?” Running my tongue over my bottom lip, giving her a smirk. A flush of pink spreads across her slender neck, camouflaging the fading handprint on her neck. I much prefer to see the feelings I bring out in her, covering her creamy skin than the fucker who hurt her.

I will find him. I won’t stop until Ana is free from her torment.

My hands slip from her wrists, and I guide her arms into the sleeves before fastening a few of the buttons on the front, my fingers grazing over her stomach. The tension between us charged like a live wire. Ana dips her head, the midnight locks falling over her face as she watches me gently close the flannel.

“Much better.” I drop my hands and pick up the matte black helmet from the back seat of the bike. The visor is completely blacked out, the dull street lights mirror in the reflection. Ana looks down at the helmet then lifts her head, a quizzical look gracing her face.

“And what are you going to wear?” Her hands rest on her curvy hips and I can’t stop my eyes from following them, her ripped jeans hugging her frame perfectly like a second skin.

“How about you close that pretty little mouth and put this on, don’t worry about me. My priority is you.” Her ocean eyes widen at my forwardness, her pink lips parting slightly. The temptation to take that plump flesh between my teeth is burningme from the inside out, but I can’t, it’s too soon. She’ll flee from my grasp if I push her too far. Ana reluctantly accepts defeat as I lift the helmet above her head and slip it over her face, then lift the visor up so I can see her shining eyes again and wrap my fingers under the front, pulling her to me, tipping her head back so I can fasten the black buckle underneath her chin. Her slender neck is angled all the way back and I can see her pulse thrumming under the delicate skin. My fingers brush over the soft skin as I close the clasp on the buckle, then I drop my hands from the helmet and swing my leg over the bike. Turning to face Ana, I extend my hand out for her to take, and she slips her fingers into my hand as I guide her over to the bike.

“Put your left foot on the peg and swing your right leg over. Use my shoulders to keep your balance.” I give her the instructions and she follows them with ease. Placing her left foot on the metal peg and swinging her opposite leg over, her hands land on my shoulders and I can feel the heat radiate through my black t-shirt, the thin material doing nothing to protect my skin from her touch. She lowers herself down onto the leather seat before placing her hands onto her knees.

“Now what?” I hear her say through the helmet and I bring my arms behind my back and take her hands to pull them around my front until they’re resting dangerously close to my cock. She slides down the seat until her front is firmly pressed against my back, her thick thighs encasing my hips. My brain is like a scrambled egg as I try to think of everything that isn’t going to give me a hard on. Grandmas. Stubbing my toe. Lyla’s disgusting breath after she’s eaten- “Everything okay Dean?”

I clear my throat and wiggle around on the seat to get into a comfortable position when really, I’m doing everything I can to hide this raging hard on that she’s giving me.

“Yep. Yeah, everything’s fine. Just um, wrap your armsaround my middle and hold on.” I hear her let out a shy laugh behind me as she wraps her arms around me, holding me in a firm grip. Turning my face, I look over my shoulder to find her already looking at me through the open visor. Her crystal eyes beaming.

“You ready mama?” The soft lines near her eyes crease as she smiles behind the helmet. “I’m ready.”

She squeezes round my middle and I begin to back us out of the space next to her car before kicking the bike into gear with my left foot. With ease, I put the machine into first gear and rev the engine, the heavy vibrations buzz beneath us, and I began to slowly drive us out of the dark car park and onto the main street, nothing but the engine can be heard around us.

Once I can feel that Ana is comfortable behind me I pick up speed down the empty street, weaving in and out until I get us onto a trail that leads us around the mountains on the outskirts of town, flying over hills, the wind blasting past us. Every turn I take Ana leans as I do, easing the bike into the corners. Her rich laugh flies through the sky, every time I weave across the empty road, the thrill of the ride buzzing through us like lightning. The adrenaline is pumping my blood around my body at lightning speed.

Lifting my hand off the left handlebar I bring it to Ana’s thigh, tapping a few times to make sure she’s okay. She gives my abdomen a quick squeeze then she repeats the same tapping motion, confirming she’s alright. We ride around the outskirts of town, the midnight sky is washed with bright stars above us, burning brightly. I slow down a fraction and cruise down the streets that lead us back to the Runaway Fox, memorising every part of this short ride, the way Ana wrapped herself around me like a second skin, like she was made to fit there, perfectly in line with me. The way her body heat radiated into mine, settingmy skin ablaze even in the chilly wind. I never want this to end, and the thought of dropping Ana off at her car and possibly not seeing her again until she’s back at work leaves a sour taste in my mouth. The rapid speed that I’m falling for her is terrifying. I feel like I’ve been thrown out of a plane without a parachute and I’m falling at rapid speed to the hard ground. I want to know everything about her. Her favourite foods, how she takes her coffee, what music she listens to, the things she enjoys watching on TV, the feel of her skin against mine, her soft fingers running through my hair. All the mundane things that I’ve never experienced with anyone else, I want them with her. She’s like a closed book right now and I’m desperate to spread her pages, to read everything about her.

I give her thigh another squeeze and begin to pull into the empty car park, Ana’s car sits underneath one of the flickering lights. Pulling the bike into the space at the side of it, I cut the engine and kicked the stand down to balance the bike. Ana’s arm slips free from around me and I instantly feel the loss of her. The biting coldness, now seeping into my bones. She uses my shoulders again to climb down from the bike until both of her feet are planted firmly on the ground, and I repeat the movement, coming to stand in front of her, her hands dipping under the helmet to unfasten the clasp.

“Here, let me.” I stop her in her tracks, her hands fall to the side of her body, and I slip the buckle free then lift the helmet from her head, placing it back on the leather seat. She shakes her wild hair from her face, the soft onyx waves splay over her shoulders like a thick shadow, and I fist my hands to stop me from running my fingers through it. The apples of her cheeks are flushed in pink from the wind on her face, the colour bringing out the blue hues in her eyes.

This woman doesn’t even know how fast she’s drowning me,how quickly my heart is wanting to be hers.

Ana’s soft voice brings me out of the trance she’s unknowingly put me in.

“Thank you Dean. That was incredible, I had an amazing time.” She beams and I tuck a stray piece of hair behind her ear, her eyes closing for a moment, not a flinch in sight.

“You’re welcome, pretty girl. Whenever you want another go, you let me know and I’ll find you.”

“I’m sure you will, you’ve got a bit of a habit of following me.” She teases, her chin tipping up. I give her the same tone she gave me. “You’re right, but I know you like it, knowing that I could probably find you wherever you go.” I run my tongue over my lip, her eyes tracing the movement as I take a step closer to her, this time she doesn’t step back, instead lets me into her orbit willingly. My height looms over her to the point where she has to crane her neck even further to keep the eye contact between us. Her hands began to unfasten the buttons on the flannel, her sharp gaze never leaving mine. Bringing my hands up I place them over hers to stop her.

“Stop.” My voice is barely a whisper between us. “Keep it.”

She pulls her plump bottom lip between her perfect teeth and I bring my hand up to her face, dragging the pad of my thumb over her mouth to pull the soft flesh free from the confines of her teeth, her warm breath tingles over my hand that’s now pulling her lip down, her lower teeth on show, before letting it spring back into place. Ana’s big, doe-like eyes look up at me.

I memorise every inch of her face. The image of her right now in this moment will forever be branded into my brain. Storing this memory in a box that’s dedicated to her, and only her.

Her shaky palms run up my stomach and I immediatelytense under her touch until they reach my chest. The glint of her outrageous wedding ring doesn’t deter me from leaning down to reach her face, in fact, it spurs me on because I know she’s running from a man that now has her falling into my arms instead.

“Tell me to stop, Ana. Tell me and I’ll back away now. I won’t ever force anything on you. You hold all the power here, mama.” Our faces are inches apart, our breaths mingling until they become one with each other. My jaw brushes against her cheek, the rough stubble grazing her skin.

“I’m scared Dean. I’m so scared.” Her voice breaks as she whispers against my jaw, the sound alone stabs through me like a serrated blade, and she immediately dips her head, crushing herself to my chest, finding all the comfort she can in my arms and I give it to her, cradling her against me. My hand wrapped around the back of her head, the other around her waist. We stand there, just the two of us under a street light in the dead of night, her tucked into me.

What she doesn’t realise is that I could stand here forever with her.
