“I know.” I rubbed circles on her back, the feeling of having her in my arms both foreign and familiar.

There was a knock at the door, and it swung open. I pulled away from Cam just as Juliana’s eyes darted between my ex and me. Surprise flashed across her face, and then it was gone. I was positive I looked guilty, but I’d done nothing wrong. I gnashed my teeth.

“I’m sorry,” Juliana said, immediately glancing away. She pressed a button on her headset. “She’s not with Harrison.”

“Who’s not with Harrison?” I asked, heading toward her. I needed to fix this before she got the wrong idea about what she’d walked in on between Cam and me.

“Olivia,” she said, barely glancing at me. “Have you seen her?”

I shook my head. “No, but I was about to go speak with Connor before swinging by to get her.”

“Great. You have ten minutes. Max.” Juliana glanced down at her tablet.

She was stunning. Her pale pink dress clung to her curves, hinting at the amazing body beneath. Her hair hung in long waves down her back, and I had a vision of pushing her dress up and wrapping her hair around my fist.

The corner of my lips curled into a grin. Oh, what I wouldn’t give to have ten minutes alone with her. To muss her hair and obliterate her schedule.

“Harrison?” Cam asked, and I’d nearly forgotten she was in the room.

I shook my head to clear it and strode toward the door—toward Juliana. “Cam, I’ll see you out there. And while you’re here,” I said to Juliana, “I had something I wanted to ask you.”

“Sure. But I only have a minute. I need to get the wedding party in place. Ms. Howard, you should probably take your seat.”

Cam pursed her lips but said nothing as she marched past. I closed the door behind her, pulling Juliana inside before caging her against the wall.

“What did you need to ask me about?” She was all business, her expression so stern. Was she upset about Cam and me?

I brushed her hair over her shoulder, pushing it aside to reveal her neck. I pressed my lips to the skin behind her ear, grazing the shell with my teeth. “You look beautiful.”

She shivered. “Thank you.”

“Cam’s emotional about the wedding.”

“Emotions always run high on wedding day.” She attempted to push past me, but I trapped her there.

I dipped so my eyes met hers. “Juliana, are you upset?”

“No.” She shook her head, finally meeting my gaze. “I trust you. And I know there’s nothing between you and Cam—at least, not on your end.”

I furrowed my brows. While I was distracted, she pushed past me and made her way toward the door.

“Wait—” I grabbed her wrist.

“What?” she huffed. “I’m kind of busy.”

I stepped closer, placing my hands on her shoulders. “Will you save me a dance for later?”

She pulled her lower lip into her mouth. “I’m not sure—”

I shook my head. “Nope. After tonight, you’re no longer my daughter’s wedding planner. You’re mine.”

She softened, sinking into my touch. “I already am yours.”

“You know what I mean.” I slid my hands down her arms. “I can’t wait until we don’t have to hide this anymore.”

She opened her mouth to respond then held up a finger, listening to something in her earpiece. “Just a second.”

I let out a deep sigh at the interruption.
