“No, but there is someone else you might need to help with,” I say.

Jack, Dax, Aiden, and Chase look unsure as they stare at the phone.

“What’s going on?” Anders asks, completely serious.

“We’ve got a situation with Trevor,” Jack interjects before I can sugarcoat it. “He’s given us some aggressive vibes lately, and Oli thinks he might be mixed up in her attack.”

“Her attack?” Anders shouts down the line, making me wince.

“Trevor didn’t tell you?” Chase asks, shocked.

“No. Someone fill me in right now.” He is also an alpha, and right now, that’s obvious.

We tell him everything about my attack and the change in security. I emphasize that I didn’t recognize anyone on the security team they provided, and they were complicit in the attack.

I hear Anders clicking on his computer from the other end. “You’re telling me your attacker was aided by security?”

“Yes,” I say, nervous.

Jack cuts in; his tone is as sharp as a knife. “Did Trevor have any hand in recently switching up our security detail?”

There’s a pause on the line, and I can almost hear the gears turning in his head. “According to my records, he moved you over to a new company at the start of the tour but not all at once. He’s been slowly increasing the new company while decreasing the old.”

“Like he didn’t want anyone to notice,” Aiden adds darkly.

“We want a deep dive into those payments and any other changes Trevor might’ve slipped under the radar,” I say, trying to steady my pulse.

“Consider it done, Oli.” There’s a steely resolve in my friend’s voice that matches the determination in my gut. “I’ll pull the records and start looking. We’re going to dig deep into this. If Trevor’s been playing games behind the scenes, we’ll gather all the evidence necessary and take this to court if we have to. Your safety, your well-being—that’s not something we’re willing to gamble with.”

“We need proof if we are going to bring it to the police,” Chase emphasizes.

“Are you safe now?” Anders asks, worried.

Jack gets closer to the phone. “We hired our own security, and they arrived today, but if Trevor is behind this, she isn’t safe around him.”

“I want Trevor fired,” I say, decision made.

“I think that’s for the best,” Anders confirms.

Jack, Aiden, Chase, and Dax are all nodding encouragingly.

Jack adds, “For The Edge, too.”

“Consider him gone,” Anders says, his voice a deep rumble of solidarity. “Give me twenty-four hours. I’ll have a list of potential managers for you to review.”

“I want a boss-ass woman on my team. Someone who will understand my vision,” I add.

“You should have had that from the start,” Anders says kindly.

“Thank you,” I say.

“We appreciate all your help,” Aiden adds.

I can almost hear Anders smiling through the phone despite everything. “Olive means a lot to me. You four better treat her right, or my pack and I will be coming down there.”

“We will,” Jack confirms.

I hang up with Anders and look at the guys. “I can’t believe Trevor would do this to me.”
