“No back problems tonight.”

“Is it still night?” I ask, propping myself up on my elbows so I get a better view of his ass as he enters the bathroom.

Austin returns with a wet washcloth and cleans us both up.

“I should’ve done that before we fell asleep,” I grumble as he tosses the towel aside.

“Not a chance. I wanted you all over me so you’d live in my skin.” His eyes bulge as if he didn’t mean to say that out loud. “Now that’s creepy.” He scrubs a hand over his face.

“It works out well because I happen to be highly attracted to creepy.”

“Liar.” He thumps my chest and knocks me flat on the bed. “Shut up and be the little spoon.” Austin curls himself around me when I roll on my side. “Let’s do brunch in the morning. Late morning.”

“After you have me for breakfast.” I gnaw his forearm.

“Obviously.”

The universe cooperates, and I wake up to Austin sucking me off after one of the best nights of sleep in my life.

The man grins smugly around my dick like he’s won a prize. Newsflash, I’m the winner, especially when he slurps both my balls in his mouth.

“This must be your hidden talent.” I stare down my body, at his powerful form, and am in awe that I’m so lucky. Austin Lapointe loves getting me off.

He’s chosen me for some ridiculous reason. Part of me wants to shout it from the rooftop because I don’t think I can contain my happiness. I’m goddamn giddy.

I’m not an excitable person.

He works me over like a pro, and I shoot down his throat like an amateur, having used up all my restraint last night.

“Breakfast of champions.” He licks his lips and joins me on my pillow. I swear he stares into my soul before speaking. “Spend the day with me. Just us.”

“Every second together…alone…until afternoon skate,” I promise.

“Damn job.”

“Yup, a serious downer. You get paid a boatload of money to play the sport you love and hang out with your best friends.” I feign irritation. “So tedious.”

But his phone buzzes with the team chat, and I shove aside the otherness that barges in unwanted. It’s his literal job. “Anything important.”

“Nah, same old bullshit.” He pins me under him and gathers my wrists above my head.

“What’s your plan for me?” I suck his biceps, the only thing I can reach.

“I have some ideas,” he says coyly.

“I’m yours to command.” My muscles go limp, but my cock is ready to play again.

Chapter 25

Austin

My head is in the clouds instead of in the Dallas locker room, and the team notices. Every night, more of Gray’s belongings find their way into my room, and I couldn’t be happier. I encouraged him by clearing out space in my closet and dresser for his things. Our toiletries are mixed together in my bathroom. It’s phenomenal.

But I have to keep my mind off my boyfriend. I have a game to play, and the crowd boos us during pre-skate. The Dallas arena is large, and the crowd is heavily involved with chants and songs. I can’t fault the fans. Our points are high enough that even if we lose most of our games, we’ll still make the playoffs, but we need every advantage we can get.

Our dance party ritual is winding down, and King has made it his mission to keep me on beat with the music. Gray pretended to get mad, but he had the smile that stretches his lips and scar, a clear sign of his happiness.

We start the game off with a miscommunication, and Dallas scores in the first minute. Their goal song annoys the hell out of me.
