“Well, I want you to fuck me. To solidify this—” I gestured between the two of us. Then winced when I realized how it sounded.
He tugged me toward him so our mouths met.
I expected a sweet kiss to go with the promise we’d just basically made to each other.
As always, Cody surprised me. He thrust his tongue into my mouth as he grabbed the back of my neck and pulled our bodies together. We went over in a tangle of limbs and a pile of laughter.
Chapter Twenty
Cody
As emotions swirled within me, I tried to plan my next move. Obviously making Lorcan feel good was the most important thing. But I also needed to show him how important he was to me.
I asked him to move in.
He basically said yes.
I told him he’s meeting Aunt Genessa.
He actually looked excited at the prospect.
Could things really be this simple? Undoubtedly Justin would have something to say. Kennedy would want to get a word in edgewise—of that, I was certain.
I scratched under Lorcan’s chin. “Pumpkin, do you want to take the ears and paws off so they’re not damaged? I can always buy—”
“Please.” He held out his paws. “We can play another time. Tonight feels—” He swallowed. “Is this real?”
My heart broke a little as his eyes shimmered. “Yeah, this is real.” I didn’t point out how just insane this was. Becausenothing—absolutely nothing—had ever felt so perfect. Like this was meant to be.
Gently, I removed his ears and his paws. Like they were the most precious things in the world, I put them on my nightstand. And perhaps they were. Maybe this bond transcended a normal romantic relationship—because we were both able to be our authentic selves. I scratched under his chin.
He closed his eyes in evident bliss. “You’re wearing too many clothes.”
“I’m wearing a bathrobe.”
“I wish I could’ve seen the driver’s face.”
“Well, I gave him an extra-large tip.”
“Sounds fair.” He opened his eyes. “I need you, Cody. Please.” He grasped my hand and guided it down to his rather impressive erection.
“Oh.” I grinned. “I’m happy to do something about that.”
“I thought you might.” He held my gaze with those intense dark-brown eyes. “Will I be able to return the favor?”
For a moment, I considered. “What do you want tonight?”
“You. In my ass. Facing me. Losing your fucking mind.”
I chuckled. “That, I can do.” I stroked along his bare arm. “Are you cold? I kept meaning to ask.”
“What if I promise to always speak up? If I need something?”
Music to my ears. “That would be amazing. I might be a therapist, but I’m not a mind reader. If you can give me cues, that would be helpful. If you can be blunt, that would be even better.”
“I don’t want to hurt your feelings.”
“I can guarantee I’ll be more hurt if I find out later you weren’t honest because you were worried about my feelings.”
