Prestyn was in his bassinet, sleepin’. I looked over at Pluto, lyin’ on her side, the blanket pulled to her shoulder. She looked so peaceful I almost ain’t wanna bother her, but I couldn’t help it. I walked to her side and brushed my fingers against her hair. “Hey, baby,” I whispered, but she ain’t move. I leaned down to kiss her cheek, and she turned the other way like she didn’t even want to feel me close.

I sighed and whispered against her ear, “You still mad at me, baby?” She ain’t answer. She ain’t even twitch. That silence cut a lil’ bit, but I ain’t push it. I sighed, shook my head, and said, “A’ight then.”

I walked into the bathroom, took off my clothes, turned the shower on and stepped under the water, lettin’ the heat roll over my shoulders. I felt every bit of the last few days run off me. When I got out, I brushed my teeth, washed my face, and staredat myself in the mirror for a second. My eyes looked tired, but at least I was home. That was all that mattered.

When I opened the door, the room filled with steam. I cut the light off in the bathroom and walked out completely naked, my dick swingin’. The lamp in the room threw that soft blue glow across the sheets, and for a second, I just stood there, lookin’ at Pluto. She was still turned away from me, but I could tell she wasn’t asleep. I knew her body too well. Her breathin’ changed when I walked out.

I walked over to the side of the bed and stood there, just takin’ her in. Everything I had been fightin’ for was right here in front of me.

“Stop actin’ mad, girl,” I said low, my voice close to her ear as I leaned down. “You know damn well I missed you.”

She ain’t say nothin’, but her shoulders moved, like she was fightin’ herself not to turn around. I smiled, that same grin that always got under her skin.

Then I walked around the bed, still wet from the shower, and yanked the covers right off her ass. I ain’t just pull them—I snatched them hoes clean off the bed.

Her gasp filled the room, and I could already see that fire in her eyes. She looked down at my dick and then back at me with that lil’ attitude she called herself havin’.

“Pressure, I’m not in the mood to deal with you.” She said it like she was for real, but I could see the love in her eyes.

My dick was already hard, so I gripped it, starin’ in her eyes. “But I’m in the mood to deal with you.”

I climbed in the bed but before I could get on top of her, she rolled on her side like she was tryna run from me.

“Bet,” I whispered, that word barely leavin’ my mouth before I grabbed her by the waist and rolled her over on her stomach. I slid my body over hers, lettin’ her feel the weight of how much I missed her. My chest pressed against her back with my lips rightby her ear. She tried to push herself up, but I caught her wrists and pinned them to the bed, makin’ sure she couldn’t fight how she really felt. Her skin was warm, her body soft beneath me, and even though she was still mad, I could feel her start to melt the second my breath hit her neck.

“Stop actin’ like you don’t want me,” I whispered against her ear. “You can be mad, but you still my baby.”

She let out this slow, shaky breath, and I felt her body loosen just a lil’, like she was tryin’ to stay strong, but her heart was already givin’ up the fight. I kissed the back of her shoulder, slid my hand down the curve of her hip, and whispered, “You ain’t gotta pretend with me. I know exactly what you want.”

“Pressure, stop playin’ with me,” she said, her voice shakin’.

“I’m not playin’ baby. I missed you.” My voice was low when I said it, right by her ear, ‘cause I wanted her to know I meant every word. I had handled what I needed to handle, but I knew I should’ve told her everything. She had every right to be mad, and I had every reason to make it right.

I kissed the back of her neck, slow and soft, lettin’ my lips trail down until I heard her breathin’ change. Her body tensed up under me, but I could feel her gettin’ weak at the same time. I pushed her hair to the side and whispered, “I’m sorry, baby. You hear me?”

She ain’t say nothin’. She just turned her face into the pillow and tried to act like my apology didn’t hit her, but it did. I could feel it in the way her body reacted when I slid my hand between her legs and felt how wet she was.

“You hear me?” I whispered again. “I said I’m sorry.”

“Pressure,” she breathed out, tryna sound firm, but that shit came out like a moan.

I lined myself up behind her and slid my dick in slow. She gasped, her hands grippin’ the fitted sheet tight, and I felt thatmoment when her body gave up fightin’. Her breath shook, and she made that sound I been missin’ since I left.

I leaned forward, pressin’ my chest against her back, lettin’ her feel all this dick. I slid my fingers between hers, lacin’ our hands together before pressin’ them flat against the bed. My lips stayed on her neck, kissin’ her, and whisperin’ into her ear while I moved inside her.

“I missed you, baby. You know I did. I was thinkin’ about you the whole time.” My voice came out rough ‘cause the feel of her had me gone already.

Her body arched beneath me, and I felt her start to move against me. She was still tryna act like she ain’t want it, but her body was speakin’ louder than her words. I kissed the side of her face, whisperin’, “I love you, girl. You know that.”

She tried to shake her head, but her moans said different. The sound of her voice filled the room, and every time I went deeper, she made that soft noise that always made me lose it. Her skin felt hot and I could feel her tremblin’.

I held her tighter, pressin’ more of my weight on her, lettin’ her feel that closeness she been tryna avoid. I wanted her to know I wasn’t lettin’ her go, not after the way shit went down on the phone. I kissed her shoulder, her back, her neck, tellin’ her how sorry I was between every stroke.

“I know I should’ve told you, baby. I know I should’ve called.” My voice broke a lil’, and I ain’t care. “But I needed to handle that shit with Kay’Lo before it turned into somethin’ worse. I ain’t wanna bring that stress to you. I love you.”

She stayed quiet, but I could feel her tears. Her body softened under me, and she turned her head just enough for our lips to meet. That kiss said everything she couldn’t get out. It told me she still loved me even if she was mad as hell.

I kept movin’ inside her, makin’ sure she felt every part of me. The sound of our skin slappin’ together started to getloud, and the bed started creakin’. I held her hands tighter and whispered, “You still love me, baby?”
