It’d all been too fast that when Thomas realized what had happened, he immediately launched at Nathan. Nicholas groaned on the floor.
Nathan used Thomas’s weight against him and easily shoved him to the side. Nicholas was back up on his feet when Thomas fell on the floor on all fours.
Thomas jumped up and thrust himself in Nathan’s direction again but was quickly neutralized by Aaron and Caleb before he could reach him. Nicholas shoved Nathan’s chest and threw a punch at him, but Nathan easily dodged it, cupped his hand and struck at Nicholas’s nose in an upward motion. The entire party must’ve heard thecrack. I looked away after hearing Nicholas scream with pain. That nose wasshattered.
David immediately seized Nicholas, but he wriggled like a desperate fish out of water, blood trickling heavily from his nose. Behind them, a mountain of a man made his way to the fight scene. Big Mike.
He collected Nicholas, making him stop fidgeting in two seconds. “You broke my nose, you piece of shit!” he yelled at Nathan through bloody teeth. “I’ll fucking sue you motherfucker!” He was deranged.
Nathan chuckled, and that just made Nicholas start swearing a combination of words I’d never even heard someone use before in a sentence.
“I’ll be delighted!” Nathan replied, coloring every syllable. Nicholas spat blood in Nathan’s direction as David and Big Mike pulled him away, but the blood didn’t get anywhere near him.
Aaron and Caleb moved Thomas out, but he looked over his shoulder and said to Nathan, “You’re dead—mate.”
Nathan stood with his arms crossed at his chest, clearly unmoved by Thomas’s threat, waiting for him to be taken out. Ren embraced Sophie, who was deeply startled by the fight. I held on to Cecile’s arm, and Tobias stood next to us.
“Billie, are you okay?” Tobias asked me. His gaze trained on my arm, probably trying to find any damage.
“Just sore, but I’m fine, Tob.”
He didn’t seem convinced.
Once Thomas disappeared through the main entrance, Nathan joined us. “I’m so sorry!” I hugged him tight around his waist. “Are you okay?” He looked perfect—not a single hair out of place.
“My God, Murph. Your arm’s blazing red where he gripped it.” He took his phone out and snapped a picture of my arm.
“What are you doing?”
“Evidence of physical abuse, threats. Tobias told me he’s your ex. Quite the nutter if you ask me. But he really cocked up. We can easily file for an order of protection against him. I’ll be right back.”
Order of what now?
“Nathan!”
He walked up to Aaron and Caleb, who had returned from kicking out Nicholas and Thomas, and chatted with them. David and Big Mike stayed outside, probably making sure they would actually leave. I hoped Thomas took Nicholas to the hospital.
“Billie, what the hell just happened?” CJ hugged me.
“It was Thomas,” I replied. Nina had approached us too.
“He’sinsane,” Nina said, hugging me. “He seemed so different when we met him. What did he want?”
“He’s just—having trouble accepting it’s over.” I took a deep breath, and Nina squeezed her lips together. “Where’s Juan Pablo?” I asked, trying to change the subject.
“We got into an ugly argument last night. We’re not talking right now. I didn’t feel like coming to the party with him.”
“Oh, I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope you can sort things out.”
“I’m sure we will,” she said with a sad smile.
“I think I’m heading out, CJ. We had lots of fun tonight, but I just want to go home if that’s okay.”
“Of course. I’m so glad you came, and I’m so sorry about Thomas sneaking in. There’s a list, but they must’ve—”
“There’s no reason to apologize.” I hugged him and Nina.
“David’s got me all turned on and shit. You know, after seeing him in action,” CJ whispered with a naughty smile. “I’d ask if I could borrow him for the rest of the night, but I know thatbig guyover there won’t allow him to stay.”
