“Come in!”William shouted across the door. I stepped inside the small bedroom and saw him lying on the bed, reading a copy ofCrime and Punishmentwith a hand tucked behind his head, wearing nothing but jeans and his black-framed reading glasses.

My mouth went dry.

“Enjoying some light reading?” I teased, shutting the door behind me.

Chuckling, he closed the book and settled it next to his cinnamon Altoids on the mini nightstand beside him. “I found the book here, and I got curious.”

“Of course you did.” I crawled onto the full-size bed and over him. My legs straddled his hips, and my hand stopped him from removing his glasses. “I like those.”

“Mmm.” He bit his lower lip and pushed the frames back up the bridge of his nose with his middle finger. “So I’ve heard.”

“You always take them off.” I cupped his face with my hands. “I want you to keep them on.”

“Yes, ma’am.” He lifted his neck to reach me, and I met him halfway for a kiss. His cinnamon-tasting tongue quickly parted my lips and found mine. My hands wandered from his chest to his abs and up again. He gently broke off the kiss and slid hishands up my back underneath my hoodie. “How did it go with Aaron?”

I took a deep breath and let it out with a sigh. “It went.” My eyes began to sting, and that wasn’t exactly the mood I wanted to bring into the bedroom. “We’re good now. But it felt like we were saying goodbye. I told him about my plans to negotiate with my father about eliminating security, and he thinks they’re all just going to get fired and replaced anyway.”

I almost choked on a sob that I wasn’t expecting to come up to the surface, and William immediately sat up straight and ran his arms around me while I wrapped my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to get emotional about this again,” I said, pressing myself harder against him.

“Hey, it’s ok.” He wiped a few tears off my cheeks. “Do you want to talk about it?”

“No. Not right now.” I placed a hand on his chest and pushed him back against the pillows. I needed to calm down. It was useless to ruminate about the possibilities when there was nothing to do but wait until I talked to my father. The worrying and the dreading would get me nowhere and would only increase my already spiking anxiety. I needed to forget and enjoy the here and now with William—the calm before the storm. So I took a deep, calming breath and reeled it all in. “I would rather discuss that membership you were telling me about earlier.”

Grabbing the hem of my hoodie, I pulled it over my head and tossed it on the floor.

William raised a brow and adjusted his glasses again. “It’s a very exclusive club, and unfortunately, we’re not taking any new members at the moment.”

“Really? That’s too bad,” I said, unclasping my bra and letting the straps slip down my shoulders. William grabbed itand added it to the now pile of clothes on the floor. “And here I was thinking you could make an exception.” His warm hands moved to my breasts, grasping them with a perfect pressure that lingered between pleasure and pain. A gentle moan escaped my lips. “I guess I was wrong.”

“Well, you do seem eager and willing to become a member,” he said, moving his hands to my hips and rocking them back and forth against his erection. “And we are very reasonable.”

“I’m glad to hear that.” My hips rolled in tiny circles as he kept moving them back and forth. “Take these off.” I pulled at the hem of his jeans.

“Are you ordering me around, älskling?” He smiled a wicked little smirk. “In bed?”

“What if I am?” I unbuttoned his jeans and pulled down the zipper.

“I might have to discipline you.”

“That is if you can catch me.” I got off his lap with a laugh and tried to flee from his grasp. But he jumped to his feet and had me immobilized in two seconds by running an arm around my waist and pulling me back to the bed. “Aaron and David are outside,” I whispered, slightly out of breath. “We can’t be noisy.”

“You’re usually the noisy one, baby.” He unzipped my jeans and tugged them down, kissing the exposed skin of my thighs as he did it. “But the thrill of the risk of being discovered is part of the fun of joining the club.” He left a trail of kisses as he moved further up. “Unless you’re second-guessing yourself?”

“Never.”

“Atta girl.” William slid my thong to the side, and I whimpered from his teasing touch that overwhelmed me with desire. “Now let me see you try to be really quiet.”

“Guille,” William whispered in my ear, his warm breath giving me goosebumps. His fingers brushed a strand of hair off my face. “Time to wake up, baby. We’ll be landing soon.” He began to grind his erection against the small of my back, so I hooked an arm around his neck and turned to look at him.

“I thought you said we would be landing soon.” I smiled. “Is this—a good idea?”

“A morning quickie is always a good idea.” His hand curled around my waist and slid down to the aching heat between my legs. “Fuck, Guille. All this for me?”

“Always.” I rolled on my back to face him, and my hands moved to cup his face. “I love you,” I said, the words leaving my throat with a faint moan.
