They walked out and made a circle justthe three of them.She pulled off a necklace she wore to make anartifact.It was pretty and looked witchy with the sun, moon, andstars on it.
“Ooh, that’s pretty.”Marissacommented.“Let’s begin.You can hold it.”
Marissa chanted while she and Harrygave her energy.The artifact when used would draw energy from thetransgressor.They would get the evil they sent out back in kind.It would also draw a small amount of energy off nature.Someonescreamed loudly and came running out.It was an older lady she’dnot met yet.
“I also made it to where no one butyou or Duroc can remove the artifact.”Marissaexplained.
“Looks like you already lost onemember.”Harry observed.
“I noticed that.”Bindi didn’t knowwhere she’d gone.Maybe she had just kept running.
“What now?”Harry asked.
“Anything you do besides magic?”Bindiasked.
“I can work construction.Ariel mademe but if I can’t use magic, I suck at it.”
“Some stores and restaurants need tobe set up.I need a grocery store, a general store, and a gasstation with a convenience store, can you help with any of those?”Bindi asked.
“Don’t you need a buildingfirst.”
“If you make one with magic, is itthere for good?”
“For good or bad, but it needs energyto stay.”
“What if it takes just a little bitfrom the customers?”Marissa asked.
“Give me another option?What if Ihave the materials to build it and the magic just puts ittogether?”Bindi asked.
“Not sure.No one has ever wanted totest that.”
“Okay.I know Harry’s magic tends tobe destructive.How about taking the barn apart and stacking thematerials in it by type?”
Harry looked excited.“I can dothat.”
“While you’re hanging out with theboys, see if you can find out anything?Just listen, okay?”Bindidirected.
“That barn that is falling partapart?Nothing else?”
“Exactly.See you atsupper.”
“Are you sure you should have herher,do it?”Marissa asked.
“We need it done to build theapartment house.It’s a bit crowded in here and everyone wantstheir own space.It would take the guys a couple days to do itright.”
“But what will they think of her beingable to do it.?”
“That magic can be useful and not allwitches are wicked?”Bindi suggested.
“I hope you’re right.”
“They need to adjust to having witchesaround.It’s the way of the future.”
“Okay, you’re the bitch around here.”Marissa decided.
