“She made it in just beforeyou did.I believe she was going to Joey’s.”Ritareplied.
As soon as Rita was done with them, hehurried out to go to Joey’s.“I was expecting you.”Joey admitted.“Bindi is taking a showershower, and she should be back out heresoon.Have a seat and tell me how things are going.”
“We have newbies to trainright now.”
“I heard that.Bindi thinkshers is a good guy and has been well trained.”
“Mine is too.Ritashouldn’t have any trouble with them.”Duroc assessed.
“Here she comes.Youalright, Bindi?”
“Yeah.Hey Duroc.How didyour day go?”
“Lizzy seems to be alright.How about you?”
“Dennis is a good guy.Maybe Rita got lucky with her newbies.”Bindi supposed.
“Rita said tomorrow we’llbe completely caught up.Tyne’s considering addinginvestigations.”
“You were right about that.I don’t know much about investigations.”
“Several of these newbieshave already been trained in it.”Duroc explained.
“You think it ishard?”
“Not if you are trainedwell.”
“You’ve done this before?”Bindi asked.
“I went through thetraining with Tyne.”
“He never even offered itto me.”
“It’s not something that isjust offered.I requested it and had to pay for it.If I work aninvestigation successfully, I’ll get some of my moneyback.”
“Why is that?”Bindiasked.
“He’s had bad luck withpeople who go through investigation training just to quit and gowork somewhere else.That’s what he told me.”
“I guess that’sunderstandable.”
“Tyne is a businessman.Heneeds to make money.”Duroc pointed out.
“I get it.Was it worthpaying for?”
“It is if you need it toopen or run a business.”
They talked a bit more and eventuallyhe went to his place.The rest of the week went well, and Lizzy wasdoing a good job.She’d learned about some of the local places andhow to use the list which was full of good information.The weekhad finished and tomorrow it was time to go to HQ with the othersthat were also going.

Back to HQ
She was ready to get on the plane andshe only had two bags.It wasn’t much for the time she’d spent herebut even less when you considered it was all she owned.Knowing shewould be moving around, she’d not accumulated much because movingit all would be expensive and a lot of work.
It was a shock when she climbed aboardand found Duroc already seated and when he looked up at her, hedidn’t look surprised.A mated couple she didn’t know well were theother two who were leaving.Bindi made her way down the aisle andsat next to Duroc.
“How long have you known Iwas going?”Bindi asked.
