He cut her off and herded her back tothe house. When they entered the bedroom, he urged her to undressquickly.Bindi figured he wanted some clothes left. They managed tosave what they were wearing. She pulled him down on the bed andbegan to ravage him.Since she’d pulled him on top of her, he gotbusy and joined them.

Her need perfumed the air and she urgedhim to move. That was what he did, and he moved fast because herdesire was urgent. Her body was hot and his was getting hot too.Sweat dripped off him as he pounded into his mate as she movedtoward him to aid his moves.Their skin slid as they moved togetherboth working toward their ultimate climax. It hitunexpectedly.

Both of them ended up asleep. The cyclecontinued for two more days. Her heat had been intense but hadended in a briefer time than others had.“I think I’mdone.”

“That’s ablessing.”

“More than you can handle.Sweetheart?”Bindi teased.

“I think I handled you justfine.”

“I want to get back to worktomorrow.”

“That will be one daybefore you’re usual day off.Maybe you should take one more day.The newbies are doing fine.”

“Are you wanting morepersonal time?”

“Maybe a little.”Durocadmitted.

“Okay.If, you’resure.”

“I’ll let them know we’llbe back Monday.Except for being on call.”

“I’m hungry.”

“There’s plenty to fix inthe fridge.”

Bindi looked and she thought he’dgotten more food.Pulling out several items of food, she heated upthose things that required it and set the table. She got them eacha drink then sat and waited for Duroc. It wasn’t long before hecame out.

“This is nice.Let’s sitdown and eat.Can we also talk a little.I’d like to know moreabout you.”

“Me?I’m no one special.”Bindi answered.

“Yes, you are. You’re mymate.Obviously, you’re part wolf.Where did that comefrom.”

“I believe my father was awolf. My mother died when I was young, and I don’t even know hername.”

Duroc looked upset.

“I’m sorry you got such anunimportant mate.”

“I’m not angry at you. It’sthe fact that they didn’t even tell you about your mother.Whoraised you?”Duroc asked.

“The pack my father wasfrom.”

“Which was?”

“The north Oregon Pack.”Bindi replied.

He’d heard rumors about them, but theway things were done, you didn’t mess with other packs especiallyif you didn’t have proof. His dad had reported things to thewardens, but they’d done nothing, so they just hoped the rumorsweren’t true.Things were changing, but they just hadn’t changed ata fast pace.Maybe Damon would be sent in, and he could tear thatpack apart.

“I’m sorry.”

“You know about them?Whydidn’t anything get done?”

“My dad called the wardens. They came in and then left.We had no grounds to interfere.”Durocadmitted.

“Politics allows misery.”Bindi accused.
