Duroc hoped his mate would know how tofix this so the pack would be able to eat it.That is where theywere headed now.“What did you think of the factory?”Damonasked.
“I believe they were hiding manythings.”
“I agree.Once Nat comes you will havea better idea how to deal with them.”
“That is what I think too.”Durocadmitted.
They spoke little and he was sure theothers were lost in thought as he was. This was a complicatedriddle to solve.Right now, the key to it all seemed Nat and theteam she would probably end up bringing in.Things were complicatedwith many hands in the till and three huge businesses and thepossibility of more.
As they left, someone approached.Itwas one of these supervisors.”My name is Randy.things aren't asgood as they seem.If I wasn't a pack member, I would have a muchbetter job.I only stay because we were told if we leave, we wouldbe killed.I'm glad Al was killed, and I can only hope you'll bebetter.”
“That sheds the light on a few things. Those left intend to hang together for better or worse.”Durocobserved.
“These businesses need investigating.Maybe Tyne can help with that.”Damon suggested.
“Looks like we'll be calling ineveryone we know.”
“That's what we had to do the lasttime we went through this.”
“I can't deny I need all the help Ican get.”Duroc said.
“It's OK to need help and you havefriends who will help.”
“According to Bindi, they'll be comingstarting tomorrow.”
“Where will they all stay?”Damonasked.
“Beats me, but I'm letting Bindihandle that.”
“I hope you survive this whole thing.”Damon chuckled.
They were nearly back to the packhouse. He wondered how things had gone there.Duroc didn't have towonder long.Their barn had been taken down and the materials werepiled up neatly. The ground was even leveled and ready forbuilding. That in itself was a good amount of work for the day.Allof them walked inside where they could smell foodcooking.
He had a feeling they had gotten morethan the barn done.Duroc saw his mate and moved closer to give hera hug and a kiss.“It’s been quite a day.”Bindiobserved.
“Mine has been hectic as well.Everything go well?”
“Harry was attacked. They thought thenew alpha bitch was a white wolf and that Harry washer.”
“What did you do?”
“Harry turned them into toads.Weturned them back one at a time and dealt with them. Then we letthem go.”Bindi said.
“You let them go?Shouldn't you havekept them?”
“They knew little, so they helped withsome work we were doing, and we let them go.”
“How did you get the barn down soquickly?”Durok asked.
“That was Harry's job. It's also wherethey attacked her.”
“I didn't know a witch could dosomething like that. Can she build houses?”
“Not without magic to sustain it.That's why I had her take something down.”
“Did you say Nat would be heretomorrow?Who else will be coming?”
“There are people from several packsthat are coming as quickly as they can. Some believe they will makeit by tomorrow. We also have a large tent we rented to houseputthem in.It was Ariel’s suggestion.”Bindi replied.
