Bindi looked rough but he’d never tellher so.

“You look like hell,Bindi.”Rita said. She didn’t seem to feel bad about sayingthat.

“I’m a littlehungover.”

“A little? Will you be ableto work?”

“I think I’ll be fine.”Bindi offered.

“Okay. You’ll be with Durocsince he’s the most sympathetic one in our crew.”

For Bindi, he didn’t mind workingextra.

“Is that fair to him?”Bindi asked her cheeks pink with embarrassment. He was sure she wasremembering last night.

“It’s okay.”Durocinformed.

Bindi didn’t look happy, but she wasstuck with him, and he loved it.There would be a whole day to showhis mate that he could take care of her.If he kept her talking, hemight discover something about her.Anything might help since heknew so little about her.She was his mystery woman.

They gathered what they needed for theday, loaded up then headed out.“How far are we going?”Bindiasked.

“Two hours out and stayingin that area for all the jobs.Drink some coffee and see if ithelps. There are some crackers in the glove box if you needthem.”

“Thank you.”

Duroc headed out driving with his mindon getting there. It was clear Bindi didn’t feel like talking.Whatwas his hope was that she’d feel better by the time they arrived. He was right, she did.The house was huge, and they had additionalsecurity. That made Duroc wonder why they even needed theirsecurity system.

As soon as he parked an armed guard wason them.“What business do you have here?”He demanded.

It made him concerned because the nameof their company was on the truck and on his T-shirt where it wasvisible to him right now.“We have an appointment this morning toput in a security system.”

“Alright.I’ll escort bothof you into the house.”The guard offered.

“Bindi, get your usual gearand I’ll get some extras. This gentleman will escort usin.”

Bindi’s eyes opened wider as she staredat the guy in question. It was clear she was wondering what wasgoing on here too.The guy looked at her and it was obvious he wasinterested. No way was he getting a chance at his female.Theyloaded up with what they needed and followed the man to thehouse.

Once they got in there, Bindi set upand he moved to go to the main door.“Where are you going?”Theguard asked.

“I need to set up the mainbox at the entry door.”Duroc answered. He continued to walk andafter he was at the end of the hall, the guy went after him leavingBindi alone.

At the entry, he began his work movingfast but doing everything properly. It was clear another companyhad set up here before.Must be that one that had been so popularbut went out of business. The work was hard, and this house was anall day job for an average pair, but he was amazed at how muchBindi got done. They met in the middle and toured the house to besure they got every entry of any kind.

At that point, Duroc gave the guard theinstructions and he signed off on the job and the instructions.Itwas a relief to leave, and they still had time to do the next jobeven though it ran into overtime.Once that was nearly done, hecalled Rita.

“Rita, this isDuroc.”

“How are you twodoing?”

“We’re fine. What do youwant us to do now?Come back or stay here?”

“Where are you on yourlist?”

“We’ve got the big housedone and the next one.”

“You did?”

“Don’t act so surprised.Bindi is great.”Duroc mentioned.
