She reached out her hand, and we entwined our pinkies. The promise was made.
“He’s married to his best friend, who’s a lesbian, so he can stay in the U.S. and not have to go back to England.”
She balked. “What? Are you serious?”
I nodded. “Dead serious.”
“So his marriage is fake?”
“Pretty much.”
“That’s some crazy shit.”
“I know, right?” I agreed.
“Why did he have to wait until the club to tell you? He could have told you any of the times you two were locked in your office.”
I chuckled. “First of all, we weren’t locked in my office.”
“Uh-huh,” she muttered.
“We weren’t,” I confirmed. “And second of all, I told you that Sensation is a confidential place. What goes on there, stays there, so he wanted to tell me there so I wouldn’t tell anyone. You don’t count,obviously.” I smiled.
We both stuck bites of food in our mouths before Lore continued to question me. “So, did you two screw again?” She was never one to sugarcoat things. I turned my head to look out my window that led to the street.
“So that’s a yes.”
I looked back to her. “Of course we did.”
A smile spread across her face. “I want details.”
I shook my head. “You’re not getting details.”
“Aw, come on.”
“Nope.” I shook my head again.
“I’m going to get you drunk one Friday night so you’ll tell me everything.”
I rolled my eyes and shoved a forkful of fried rice in my mouth.
“So what else happened? Were you the one to approach him or did he seek you out again?”
“I found him. He was watching a threesome, and as I was waiting for him to finally notice me, Jason Black walked up and handed me a drink.”
“Seriously? Damn, I need to get invited to this club.”
“Not to meet him. He tried to roofie me.”
Her eyes widened. “What?”
“Apparently he does that so he can take advantage of women.”
“But he’s a celebrity. He can have any woman he wants.”
“I know. I don’t fully understand why, but Booker said that’s how he gets women to let him and another dude DP her.”
Lorelei’s mouth dropped open. “But he’s at a sex club. I would think that would be something he could find women to do no problem.”
