I laughed. “No, but this is close. This isBarefoot. Award-winning, in fact.”
“They probably don’t serve that at Sensation.” He grinned.
“Probably not.” I laughed. “What else does twenty-K a month get me?”
“That’s really all the exclusive stuff. The other levels allow you to do more than the one below it. So Diamond you can do it all.”
Booker stood and walked behind me to the sink.
“Do you go to these masquerade parties?”
“I have, yes.”
“Recently?”
He rinsed his plate and stuck it in the dishwasher as he spoke. “I haven’t been in two months.”
“Oh.” I bit my bottom lip.
He kissed my forehead. “I honestly have no desire to go back because I only want to be with you.”
I smiled up at him. “Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
“There’s one more thing I need to tell you.”
“What’s that?”
“Lorelei wants to come on Saturday.”
“Hmmm,” he thought, bobbing his head a little. “I’ll talk to Randy and see if he’ll invite her.”
Lorelei and Randy officially met a few weeks back when Booker and I were in the vodka tasting room. Lorelei knew who Randy was just like she knew who Booker was. She mainly talked to assistants at work and not the attorneys themselves. Now that might be a different story with those two.
“Can you ask him tomorrow so she’ll stop bugging me?” I half-joked.
He laced his fingers with mine, grabbed the remote from my coffee table and shut off the TV. “Yeah, I’ll ask him after court.”
“Thank you.”
Booker led me to my bedroom, and once we were in there, I expected him to throw me on the bed and do those naughty things to me. Instead, he spun me to face him and began to slowly take off my clothes. My shirt went first, then my pajama bottoms and panties. Then he began to strip himself of his suit. I watched as he discarded his tie and then every stitch of clothing.
“Time for bed,” he said.
“Oh,” I murmured and moved to my side of the bed. “Will you tell me about the rest of the levels?” I asked as we slipped under the dark grey sheets.
Booker pulled me to him so my back was pressed against his front. “Yeah, but briefly. I’m knackered.”
“Me too,” I admitted.
“You could come with me to the gym tomorrow?”
I laughed—hard. “If I were to go to the gym, it wouldn’t be when I needed my beauty sleep.”
“Fair enough.” I waited as he collected his thoughts. “So, Pearl just grants you access. You can get in, engage in the common areas and drink at the open bar. With Ruby you can do all that, plus there’s a room downstairs that has ten or so mattresses around.”
“Downstairs?”
