She was stunning. Her legs glistening with sweat as she ran on the treadmill. I wanted to see her sweat while she was under me, screaming my name.
As I stepped forward to say hi to the brunette angel, she turned and smiled at me.
“It’s about time you showed up,” she said, her breathing not skipping a beat as she ran flawlessly.
“I wasn’t sure you wanted to see me again.”
“Why wouldn’t I?”
“Because you’re married.” I stepped onto the treadmill next to her.
“What he doesn’t know, won’t hurt him.”
“But he hurts you.”
“I deserve it.”
“Bullshit, Autumn!” I growled. I was thankful I hadn’t turned on the treadmill because I was sure I’d fall at her stupid words.
“Look Gabe. I’ve been thinking about you nonstop. I don’t want to talk about my husband. I want to follow you into the men’s locker room and blow you in one of the private showers.”
She pressed the stop button on the treadmill as I stared at her in shock. “Okay.”
“Good.” She reached for my hand. “I even brought a friend so she can go down on me while I go down on you.”
“You brought a friend?”
“Yep.”
We walked into the men’s locker room. Usually there was a handful of men in there, but today it was empty.
“She’s waiting in the shower for us.”
I walked to the wall with the showers, opening the one that I could see the silhouette behind the glass door. The stall was already steamy and when the air from the outside pushed in, the steam blew away and left her friend standing there. She turned with a huge smile on her face.
“I’ve missed you, babe.”
“Alyssa?”
I woke up hard and panting. It wasn’t my typical nightmare, but it might as well have been. My heart didn’t know they were dreams because it still ached every time I dreamt about Alyssa. I was hard and crushed—not a good combination. I’d kill to have a threesome with Autumn, but I’d die if Alyssa appeared out of the blue. The sun was seeping through the blinds as I replayed the dream in my head. My mind wanted Autumn, but my heart wanted Alyssa back.
I wanted to stop hurting.
I’d never forget Alyssa. I still loved her, but I needed to stop waking with sweat dripping over my body—my heart can’t take it anymore.
Finally getting out of bed, I tugged on a pair of sweats and made my way to the kitchen for coffee. The closer I got, the more I could smell breakfast.
“P.J., if you cook for me every morning, I may just have to marry you.”
He turned. “Who said I’m cooking for you too?”
“Well, if you’re not, then you should. I know you secretly want to marry me.” I grinned.
“You’re outta your mind, Cap. I’m intopussy.”
“I know,” I smirked. “But seriously, you’re making some for me right?”
He paused for a beat. “Of course.”
