“Dreams.”

“A nightclub?” I asked hopefully.

“Yeah.”

“That’s amazing!” Without hesitation, I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him a big hug. “I always knew you’d get one open.”

“Yeah, but this one will be connected to my brother’s gym.”

“What do you mean?” I took a step back.

“We’re sectioning off part of his building, and I’m renovating it to be a club.”

“So, you don’t need the capital to start your own place anymore by doing that, right?”

“Right. My savings will be spent on the reno.”

“I always figured you should ask your brother for help, but I didn’t want to step on your toes.”

“Yeah, but I think it’s for the best this way.”

“Me too.” I beamed. “When does it open?”

“Planning on this coming summer.”

“Maybe I can come.”

“I’ll send you an invite.”

“Cool, well, we better go.”

“Yeah.” He took a step back and as he turned to leave, he said, “Fix your dress. It looks like we fucked.”

My eyes widened as I look down at myself. Maybe it was because our bodies were pressed together, but sure enough, the material was wrinkled. I followed Blake out of the restroom, trying to smooth my dress down as I walked. When I looked up, Eddie was there, and I could instantly tell he was pissed by the scowl on his face.

“Seems I’m not the only one with secrets,” he stated, and turned and walked away.

“Eddie, wait!” I rushed after him.

He twirled around. “What?”

“It’s not what you think.”

“Oh really?” he scoffed and crossed his arms over his chest. “You were just locked in a bathroom with another man and came out fixing your dress.”

“We didn’t do anything,” I stated.

“Doesn’t look that way.” He turned to leave again.

“Where are you going?”

“Home.”

I balked. “Home?”

He turned again and said, “Look. I don’t need to be with someone who is going to cheat on me right in front of my fucking face.”

“I didn’t cheat on you,” I argued.
