“I’ll never know for sure. I’m taking the jet home. Take care of yourself, Stacey.”

Eddie walked away, leaving me standing in the middle of the hallway with my heart breaking.

And it was all Blake’s fault.

Blake

It had beenthree months since I’d last seen Stacey at Brandon’s wedding. She left without saying goodbye, and that fucking hurt. I hadn’t realized how much I’d missed her until I saw her sitting in the audience, waiting for the wedding to begin. I’d wanted to approach her the entire time, but she wasn’t alone. Then she started dancing to our song with that dude—who was apparently her boyfriend—and I’d snapped.

But you know what they say, right? To get over someone, you have to get under someone else. Or that one about when the cat is away the mice will play …

“Hey, Teresa,” I hummed as the member used the stair climber.

“Well, hello there. How are you today, handsome?”

“Would be better with your legs wrapped around my waist.”

Her steps faltered, and I grinned. Yeah, I didn’t skip a beat on telling her what I wanted. Teresa had been flirting with me for months, and it was about time I cashed in.

“I …” she stammered.

“I’ll be up in my brother’s office if you’re down.”

I left her to her workout, climbed the stairs to Brandon’s office, and sat behind his desk. He would have a cow if he knew I was hoping to use his workspace for a little nooner.

It didn’t take long before the leggy blonde entered, shutting the door behind her. “Brandon won’t get mad?”

“He would blow a gasket, but he went down to LA to surprise Spencer at her expo.”

Teresa turned the rod on the blinds and shut them. “Then say no more.”

Teresa was a good fuck. She knew what she wanted, and she let me do whatever I needed in return. But I couldn’t bask in post-sex bliss because as we were getting dressed, I got a call from my brother.

“Hey,” I answered.

“Have you seen Spencer?”

I blinked. “No, isn’t she down in LA with you?”

“No.”

“What? Why?”

“Just try to find her, okay? Go to my house. Go to her work. Just find her,” he pleaded.

Something was wrong, and I hated he wasn’t telling me, but I would drop everything to help him or my sister-in-law. “Yeah, I will.”

“Everything okay?” Teresa asked.

I grabbed my keys from the pocket of my jeans. “Yeah. Got to go.”

“Oh.” She frowned.

I rushed her out the door and locked it behind me. “Catch ya later.”
