“You’re the best,” I said as I rolled on top of him.

“Yeah? Are you going to show me how thankful you are?”

I slid down his naked body. “Reading my mind, Mr. Bryant.”

“I can’t waitto go home,” Molly stated as she rushed past me and into my suite. Since she came to every show, she had become my hair and makeup person. Eddie was in the business center of the hotel working, and Theo was in his room getting ready for the show.

“Hello to you too,” I chuckled and shut the door.

“I’m just saying I’m looking forward to sleeping in my own bed.”

“Yeah, and I can’t wait to be away from Karla.” I sat in the chair so Molly could start my hair.

“Ah. I know.”

It never failed. When Karla saw Eddie at a show or in the hotel or wherever, she would flirt with him. Eddie said she was only being friendly, but I knew better. She was also a royal bitch to me, and I had to assume it was because Eddie and I were dating, and they had a history.

“Can you imagine if Eddie and I get married? She’d die.” I chuckled.

Molly stopped running a brush through my brown hair. “Get married? Are you getting married?”

My eyes widened. “Oh my god, no. I’m just saying she probably thinks we’re just having fun or something and it’s not serious.”

“She’ll really die if she knows you’re in love.”

My heart skipped a beat. Was I in love with Eddie? We hadn’t said the words to each other, but as I sat in the desk chair and Molly talked my ear off while she did my hair and makeup, I realized I was.

“Have a good night, LA!”Maze screamed into her mic, and we rushed off the stage.

The tour was finally over, and I was both elated and wanted to cry. Once everyone changed, there was to be a big after-party at a nightclub, and then each of us would go our separate ways. Molly and Theo were heading back to Houston in the morning, and Eddie and I were heading to the Big Island after two nights in San Francisco for the wedding.

Before I left for the concert, I’d told Eddie I wanted to go to the biggest island first since I hadn’t been to any. He hadn’t complained or suggested another island, telling me that he and Crystal, his assistant, would make the arrangements. Luckily, I had my swimsuit and plenty of clothes with me on tour. I would just need to find a laundry mat at some point.

Theo picked me up and spun me around. “We did it, Stace.”

I squealed, sweat dripping from every inch of my body. “I can’t believe it!”

It was Theo’s second tour with Maze, and thankfully, on that first day of practice, he’d taken me under his wing and helped me along. Deep down, I knew I could have done it without him, but it was nice to have a close friend to practice with.

Karla always found a way to make a dig at me. She never liked the way Molly did my hair, my make-up made me look like a hooker, and I should only eat salad. The insults went on and on, but not once had I defended myself because I didn’t want to get kicked off the tour. Theo was always there to steer me away and make me feel better.

“I’m getting fucked up tonight!” he announced and set me back on the floor.

“You better take care of our girl,” I warned, pointing a finger at him.

“She’s well taken care of.” He winked.

I turned, laughing at his comment, and as I took a step, I fell face-first to the ground. Everything hurt instantly as I heard gasps.

“Jesus, are you okay?” Theo asked and reached for my hand.

I looked up, seeing Karla staring down at me. “You should watch where you’re going.”

I was trying to process everything. Had she tripped me? Was it on purpose?
