“Watch where she’s going?” Theo snapped. “You stuck your fucking foot out.”

“I did not.” Karla snickered and grinned at Agnes.

Theo helped me stand and asked again, “Are you okay?”

“I’m fine.” My left wrist hurt, and I was certain I would have a bruise on both knees, but luckily, I hadn’t hit my face on the cement ground.

“Like I said, watch where you’re going.” Karla and Agnes chuckled together.

“Why are you such a bitch?” I hissed, fed up with her antics. The tour was over, so I didn’t have to play nice anymore.

“Excuse me?” She took a step toward me.

“What’s your problem?” I took a step, getting in her face.

Before she could respond, Eddie and Molly stepped around the corner. With two hands, Karla pushed me back. I stumbled, almost falling again, but this time, Theo caught me.

“What the fuck is going on?” Eddie roared.

“Nothing.” Karla smirked. “Just telling Stacey—”

Without a word, Eddie grabbed Karla’s wrist and walked her around the corner.

When I steppedaround the corner with Molly, I instantly knew something was wrong. Stacey and Karla were in each other’s faces, and once I saw Karla push Stacey, I had to break it up. The one closest to me was Karla, so I grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her away.

“What the fuck are you doing?”

“Nothing.” Karla rolled her eyes.

“It doesn’t look like nothing.”

“Why do you care? You told me she was nobody to you.”

My brow furrowed. “I never said that.”

“The night you called me, you said you had a high school friend that was a dancer. You didn’t say she was your girlfriend.”

“My relationship with Stacey is none of your business,” I seethed.

“You know I don’t like being lied to. It’s why we didn’t work out.”

I took a step closer and lowered my voice. “We didn’t work out because you became a gold digger.”

She rolled her eyes and then lowered her gaze. “Isn’t that what sugar babies are?”

“No.” I shook my head. “And you fucking know that. Stop trying to degrade my business and what I do.”

She looked up at me again. “I know that you’re a liar.”

“What are you talking about?”

“You told me you loved me and we were going to get married. You proposed, only to break my heart.”

“You stole my fucking money.”
