I should’ve looked away. Should’ve apologized, grabbed my wallet, and left.
But I didn’t.
I stood there as something unspoken stretched between us as we continued to stare at each other.
Silas’s fingers flexed around himself, just barely, like he was testing me to see what I’d do. His gaze shifted down my body, then back up. “You just gonna stand there?”
I swallowed. “I ah … didn’t mean to interrupt.”
His mouth twitched as though he was fighting a smirk. “Doesn’t seem like you mind what you’re seeing.”
“You’re the one still …” I gestured toward him where his hand was still fisting his cock.
He finally smirked. “Does it bother you?”
I should’ve lied. Should’ve pretended I didn’t want to watch what he was doing. Should’ve remembered he was my client. Should’ve remembered he was my ex’s brother. Instead, I slowly shook my head.
“Ya know,” he said, shifting to stretch back against the pillows, “you don’t have to leave.”
“What?” I breathed.
He shrugged, all casual, like he hadn’t just thrown a grenade into the room. “If you wanna stay, no pressure or anything. Just figured … might as well make it fair.”
My throat went dry. “Fair?”
Silas grinned. “I mean, you got a free show. Seems only right if you return the favor.”
The room felt ten degrees hotter.
“You’re fucking with me,” I muttered, forcing a laugh, but my voice wasn’t as steady as I wanted it to be.
“Am I?” His hazel eyes flashed with something that made my stomach tighten. “C’mon, Cash. No big deal, right? Just two guys getting off. Not like it’s sex.”
This was insane. Completely insane. But the worst part? I wasn’t immediately shutting it down.
He arched an eyebrow, waiting. Daring me.
And before I could think better of it, I stepped toward my bed andsat on the edge.
I hesitated for a moment and then slipped the button on my jeans free.
“Didn’t think you’d actually do it,” he mused, dragging a hand through his hair.
I exhaled slowly, forcing myself to meet his gaze. “You really don’t give a shit, do you?”
Silas huffed a quiet laugh. “Why should I? It’s just a body. Just a little tension to work out. Nothing weird about it.”
Nothing weird. Right.
He watched me as I sat still, facing him. “You ever done that with someone else in the room?”
I scoffed, shaking my head. “No. Have you?”
He grinned. “No, but there’s a first time for everything.”
He wasn’t touching himself anymore, but the way he was sprawled across the pillows, his fingers lazily tracing patterns over his stomach, made my mouth water. He wasn’t making my decision easy.
I swallowed hard, forcing my gaze down to my hands. I tried to ignore how aware I was of every inch of my own body. How my erection was begging to be set free from behind the zipper of my jeans.
