Or maybe I owed him.

It didn’t matter. He was mostly naked with droplets of water rolling over his skin. And I very much wanted to indulge myself in a drink.

Except that sweet scent…

I started turning back toward the couch, but a blast of power from Ajax had me grabbing him and shoving him up against a nearby wall. “You’re going to pay for that, Death Blood.”

“Good.” He grabbed the back of my neck, his hips pressing into mine. “Make me bleed, Phoenix.”

CHAPTERTHIRTY

CAMI

Holy.Shit.

The aggression in the air was a drug to my senses, making me hot all over.

Or maybe that was a residual result of Az’s touch.

Becausewow.

He hadn’t bothered with one-liners or suggestive words. He’d just taken what he wanted without a single concern of being denied.

His approach had almost felt primal, like he was being guided by some animalistic entity inside him rather than his own mind.

Even now, he appeared to be acting on instinct, his motions fluid and borderline savage.

I swallowed, the sight before me doing nothing to calm the fire raging inside me.

Ajax had lit the fuse.

Az had poured gasoline all over it.

And together, they had ignited an explosion of ecstasy that left me breathless and needy on the couch.

My thighs clenched.

I shouldn’t be drawn to them. I shouldn’t be just sitting here watching. Hell, I shouldn’t be here at all.

But Iwashere.

Because of the Hell Fae Trials. Because of the agreement between my father and Lucifer. Because Ajax had subdued me and taken me to this place.

Being attracted to my warden was wrong.

Yet I couldn’t help it.

He wore that towel low on his hips, revealing every alluring inch of that sculpted torso.

And Az was shirtless, too.

Both of them panting. Both of them engaged in some sort of energy war that I could feel against my skin. It hummed through the room, causing the hairs along my arms to stand on end.

Anticipation flourished between them, their eventual path evident in the way they held one another.
