“Because it’s not my time yet,” I told him.

And it wouldn’t be the right time until Camillia chose me.

Ajax, too.

Until then, I would court them in my own way. Well, maybe not Ajax. Although, I wouldn’t mind some group play with Camillia between us. He was more to Az’s tastes than mine, but I respected his potential for our circle and liked that he was taking care of my intended.

Thoroughly, it seemed.

Because they were already playing again.

The heat of Camillia’s passion singed my veins, making my dick throb with need.

But staring up at Ty grounded me in the moment, my anger flourishing once more.

His eyebrow arched. “You’re furious with me.” Not a question, but a statement. Because he could no doubt see the hues of anger swirling in my gaze.

“I am.”

Some of his amusement seemed to melt into an expression of concern. He could easily look into my mind to find answers, but that wasn’t how we played. We valued communication, and sometimes riddles disguised as games. He wouldn’t intrude on my privacy unless he felt it absolutely necessary.

“Hmm,” he hummed again, walking over to the bar to pour himself a drink—something I would normally do for him but hadn’t bothered to now. “Would you like a refill, my prince?”

My princeinstead oflittle prince.

A concession on his part.

Or perhaps a show of ownership.

Maybe a bit of both.

“No.” I set my glass down and slid my hands into the pockets of my robe as Camillia’s pleasure sang through my blood.

Yes, Ajax is certainly taking care of our intended,I thought, shivering as my groin tightened in expectation.

Ty turned and leaned back against the bar while he sipped his scotch, his intense sapphire eyes on me as he waited for me to speak.

Normally, I would dance around my words and play with him a little. But I was too angry to even try.

“You threatened Camillia.” The words tasted sour in my mouth. “Told her you would kill her if she went near the source again.”

“Yes. I did.” No apology lurked in his tone, just resolve. “I don’t tolerate threats to our realm, Melek. More so, I won’t tolerate a threat that could hurt you or me. Nothing about that should surprise you.”

Oh, it didn’t surprise me. It just infuriated me that he couldn’t see beyond his own need toprotectto consider alternatives to the situation. “Can you for one minute think about what this could mean, Ty? Try to ponder the potential of why this female can not only read Vita but also touch the source?”

He stared at me. “I can see no positive reason for any of this, no.”

“Because you’re too blinded by your instincts,” I argued.

“And you’re too blinded by yours as well,” he countered, slamming his drink down. “All you see is a pretty girl with a pussy you want to fuck. So go do it. Get her out of your system. Meanwhile, I’ll be protecting you and the kingdom we created.”

I bristled at the insinuation that I cared more about getting laid than supporting our realm. “You truly think I’m allowing my hormones to rule my mind? That all I feel for her is lust?”

Because that would make me a shallow angel indeed.

I stepped toward him, his words having added fuel to my already burning fire. “Everything I do in this life is for you, Ty. It’s always beenfor you. Every deal. Every game. Everydecision. Why would Camillia De la Croix be any different? Because you think I’m so desperately in need that I can’t see beyond her beauty?”

His jaw clenched. “I think she has a magic snatch that has enchanted all my best men.”
