The Outcast Coven attacked Gold and Garnet by sending in Klas. Kaspian had to respond to that,I argue, aware of how politics work in this world.

While that may be true, he hasn’t left this roof since he arrived. You’re his primary concern.

I consider that for a moment. How do you know he’s been here the whole time?

Because I know things, Fallon, she says, her gaze twinkling when she looks back at me.I knowa lotof things. Including the fact that you’re currently stalling. She folds her arms. Now stop hiding me and introduce me to your mates. Let them prove to you how accepting they can be.

CHAPTERTHIRTY-THREE

FALLON

A FEW DAYS LATER

“Finland?”I repeat, my gaze darting between Ayla and Issy. “You’re both moving toFinland?”

“King Kaspian said we could live wherever we wanted in Gold and Garnet territory.” Ayla shrugs. “Then Khaos mentioned an opportunity in Lapland. Apparently, they could use someone with my tracking abilities.”

They also don’t seem to be all that intimidated by my abilities,Issy adds in my head.Probably because the three brothers that govern the area have godlike heritages.

“It’ll be a good fit for us,” Ayla adds. “And if it’s not, then we’ll just come back here.”

Issy nods.Iceland is very beautiful. So even if we stay, we’ll still be back to visit. Often.

I swallow, unsure of how I feel about this. I just finally got my family back. And now…

Now they want to move toFinland.

We’re no longer your only family, Fallon,Issy whispers, likely aware of my thoughts.

Well, technically you are,I say.You killed our dad…And that was after he killed our mother. I didn’t get to witness any of it, but apparently she tried to fight him after I released all the bespelled souls in the death plane.

Unfortunately, our father won the battle.

But Issy ensured he lost the war.

With just a few whispered words—ones she hasn’t shared with me. And I’ll never ask.

His cruelty toward me was nothing compared to the pain and misery he inflicted upon Issy. She earned the right to be his executioner.

Hell, she earned the right to kill the entire patriarchy, as far as I’m concerned.

But she did have some help from other furious witches.

The Outcast Coven is officially being overhauled now, a new matriarchy replacing the patriarchy.

Ayla wanted nothing to do with it, instead taking Kaspian up on his offer to join Gold and Garnet.

He gave Amala—the witch I didn’t immediately recognize on the rooftop the other day—the same choice, but she opted to stay in New York. Apparently, she’s enjoying her exile. However, she said she would be in touch if she ever changes her mind.

I doubt we’ll ever hear from her again, especially with the Outcast Coven realigning their values and restructuring their inner political system.

But I appreciate Kaspian offering her the choice. Just as I appreciate him giving Ayla and my sister sanctuary.

He didn’t even blink when I asked him about Issy.

“She’s your family,” he replied. “Of course she’s welcome here. Ayla, too.”

Nox, Bane, and Nolan all agreed with nods.
