“Our queen,” Kaspian echoes. “Weowe you our fealty. Our love. Our devotion. Our protection. Our truths. Which is why we’re kneeling for you. We pledge ourselves to you, Fallon Doyle, Queen of Gold and Garnet. And we’re hoping you will accept us by wearing that ring.”
I glance down at it, realizing now that there are exactly four garnet gem accents around the yellow stone. One for each mate.
A slight mist seems to disturb my vision, my heart beating a mile a minute in my chest.
How has this become my existence?I marvel.Going from Klas to… tothis.
You need to start putting yourself first,Issy said to me the other day.We need to focus on the future, Fallon. Embrace the gifts fate has given us. And that includes you embracing your mates.
I knew then that she was right.
But seeing my four mates all kneeling for me, pledging themselves to me…Stars, I still can’t believe this is real. That this is my life. Myfate.
Four sexy fated mates.
And they’re all mine,I marvel.Mine to love. To accept. To spend eternity with.
How could I ever say no to what they’re offering? Why would I even consider it?
“Yes,” I tell Kaspian. “Yes,” I repeat, looking at each of my mates. “Yes to everything. Yes to this. Yes to… to all of you.”
That last part is for Nolan more than the others. He’s the only one I haven’t completed the bond with, and I need him to know I accept him.
His multicolored eyes gleam in response, his gaze intent.
But it’s Kaspian who takes the ring and slips it on my finger. “We considered making it a ruby with three yellow diamonds around it, but we liked the idea of having garnet represent each of us, while the yellow diamond represents you.” He kisses my hand, drawing my attention back to him. “You’re our diamond, Fallon.”
Nox takes my hand from him, adding a kiss of his own. “You’re our firefly.”
“Our burning flame,” Bane says, his lips meeting my wrist.
“Our sweet canary.” Nolan’s words are almost as soft as his touch as he brushes his mouth against my fingertips. I reach for him as he begins to release me, needing more than that brief stroke against my skin.
He looks up at me in surprise, his irises seeming to spark with renewed color. But I don’t give him a chance to react much more than that before I go to my knees in front of him and kiss him.
He’s the only one I haven’t properly tasted. And I need him to believe me when I say I want him.
He’s mine just as much as the others are.
I want all of them. All of this. For always.
And I tell Nolan that with my mouth.
With my tongue.
Mine,I’m saying. All of you are mine.I thread my fingers through his thick hair, my teeth scraping over his bottom lip.And that claim,I’m telling him with my bite. That claim includesyou.
CHAPTERTHIRTY-FOUR
NOLAN
My heart poundsin my chest as Fallon bites my lower lip, her fiery energy warming my skin. She seems to be trying to teach me some sort of lesson.
I’m not sure what that lesson is, but I’m enjoying it.
Which is why I don’t immediately take charge of our kiss. I let her play. Bite. Kiss.Lick.
The moment she starts to pull away, I grab her.
