My surroundings didn’t concern me, even if they should have. It was the male that held my body captive beneath his own that owned my full attention.

Strength and power rippled through his perfect body. Danger sent a warning jolt up my spine, urging me to run.

But all I could do was stare up at him in awe while I soaked it all in.

The heat.

His eyes.

His desire—and mine.

Lucifer was more terrifying than the Black Phoenix. His irises glittered like dark blue diamonds, and his gaze scalded me with ruthless passion.

Yes, he was terrifying. But he was just as alluring as Az’s beastly bird.

You want this, don’t you?Lucifer always asked that question.

And I always replied the same way.Yes.

In my dreams, Lucifer was a god, but I was the one he worshipped. He was always over me, bathing me in his light as his beautiful wings spread out behind his shoulders.

Then the pleasure hit. Just like it always did.

Oh…

My toes curled as electric heat settled between my thighs. A soft grin from my king told me he approved of my reaction to his power.

But why is it always like this?

Why are you always… here?

With me?

“Cami?” a voice asked, causing my lips to curl down.

Don’t listen to him. Stay with me,Lucifer said.

Yes,I thought.Yes, yes.

Only… I could feel a hand… one that didn’t belong to the Hell Fae King. It wasn’t unwelcome. If anything, it was a calming touch.

Keep drinking,Lucifer urged.Don’t stop. You’re so close.

My frown deepened. So close to what?I’d already detonated, hadn’t I? Was I supposed to?—
