“What do you think they’ll do whenever we start a family?”

My stomach flipped, flashes of the little girl from my vision dashing forward. “A family, eh?”

Grayson tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear and tipped my face back. His gaze was serious as it bore into mine. “Oh yeah, a family. If we’re lucky enough, I’d love to make some babies with you.”

“Now?”

He started to laugh but froze, cocking his head to the side. “I wasn’t in a rush to start now, but if you wanted to… Are you trying to tell me—”

“No! No, no, no. I’m not pregnant, at least I’m pretty sure I’m not.” I bit my lip and debated telling him about my vision.

“Spit it out. You’ve never been good at keeping things from me, Lee.”

I pouted, my brows pinching together. “Hey!”

His lips brushed mine, a short and sweet kiss before he pulled back. “I’m not saying it’s a bad thing. Not at all. I don’t want secrets between us ever. We’ve both seen what they can do to people.”

As much as I hated that he’d left, I knew he wouldn’t have grown into the man standing before me. I grinned and told him about the vision with the little girl. His face softened in the sweetest way, and his heart raced under my palm.

“I guess we should get to practicing,” he said, lifting me into his arms.

Wrapping my arms around his neck, I rubbed against him. “I like that plan.”

Chapter 15

“Listen, this is the perfect way to practice. Do you really want to load all of this and drive back and forth?” Cami asked, a hand on her hip as the other waved around the house.

I pursed my lips and looked around. “What if I end up somewhere else?”

“Like where? Timbuktu? Paris? Vancouver? Puerto Rico?” Cami paused and tapped one slender finger on her chin. “That last one sounds like a really great idea.”

“Well, if you could help me figure this out consistently, I’m sure Gray wouldn’t mind if we went on a girls’ trip.”

Cami picked up the laundry basket filled with linen and shoved it into my hands. “You need to figure this shit out pronto!”

Nodding, I steadied myself and envisioned Grayson’s—no,ourbedroom. I smelled the sweet scent of the smoke that wrapped around me when I teleported, and a moment later, I heard the familiar sound of Rita giving herself a bath.

“You better be doing that in your bed and not mine,” I warned as I searched for her.

“I’m not a dog, Aileen. I know how to clean myself without slobbering everywhere,” Rita said, her eyes narrowing on mine.

I shook my head and padded to the linen closet to stack the towels and blankets I wanted to bring with me. Once I finished, I cradled the basket to my chest and focused on the foyer of my other house.

Opening my eyes, I noted the shelves of my library were bare and my comfy chair had been replaced with a recliner.

“You’re going to have to start opening your eyes when you teleport,” Cami said, snagging the basket from my hands. “Come on. Grayson and the boys are waiting for us at the diner.”

Twisting my wrist, I noticed the time. “The morning flew by.”

“That’s what happens when we start late because you’re busy making out with your man.” Cami’s words were harsher than the amused expression on her face.

“Driving or—”

“Really?” she asked with a pointed look before the scent of sugar filled the room, and she vanished into thin air.

A minute later, I appeared in front of the diner, where Cami chatted with Grayson, Kaleb, and Bear. Grayson’s eyes darkened as he took me in. He wrapped me into his arms and dipped me the moment his mouth crushed mine.

When he pulled back, my heart raced, and my breath came and went in shallow pants. “Hey, baby.”
