“Did you want to stay for dessert?” I ask and he nods, moving his mouth closer to mine. “I meant ice cream,” I tell him with a smile and he pauses hovering over my mouth with his own.

“All I want to taste is you.” And with that he closes the distance as he presses his body to mine and I feel the wall at my back.

Deepening his kiss, he reaches around to cup my ass, and suddenly I’m lifted and he turns his body walking toward the living room. Flipping off the lamp he lowers me to the couch andlays his body over mine. I hook my legs around him and when his body shifts forward I gasp at the hardness.

Bennett slides his palm over my side, his fingertips touching my bare skin.

My entire body is on fire from his touches.

I’m at a loss, craving more. When I touch his lower stomach right above the belt buckle he growls.

“Fuck, Lex.” He bites my lip and I thrust my hips forward.

“I should go,” he says, but continues to kiss me. One hand cupping my ass, the other inching closer to my chest. Bennett pushes his hips forward and there is no mistaking he is completely turned on too.

I know him leaving is for the best because of Camryn. But I’m not quite ready for this to end yet.

It feels too good.

“I don’t want to,” he says, just as his fingers skim over my bra. “I want to touch you.”

“I want that too,” I say with a smile.

“But the first night we’re together shouldn’t be on her first night here.” I get it, damn it I do, but I hate it.

“Because the things I want to do to you, Lex.” He kisses along the side of my neck. “We won’t be quiet, I can promise you that.”

“You are killing me.” Again I shift and he grabs my hip grinding against me.

“I know, I feel your pain baby,” he tells me.

We kiss a little longer and then without warning he pulls back.

“If we don’t stop, I’m gonna explode.” Bennett runs his hands through his hair. “But you should know this is the hardest fucking thing I’ve done all year.”

I laugh and sit up, feeling my entire body tremble.

“We have time, right?”

“We do,” he tells me, leaning in like he’s going to kiss me again. But he pauses, then hangs his head. “If I kiss you, we are going to end up right back where we just were.”

Bennett stands, and tugs on his pants again, trying to make room, making me laugh.

“I need to go home and take a very cold shower.”

With that he walks toward the door and grabs his keys off the table. Turning around he finds me standing there and his gaze rolls over me from head to toe.

“I’m going,” he says, twisting the door handle and pulling it open. “Close this door Lex and lock it.” I laugh as he hurries out onto the porch and toward his truck.

Flipping on his lights he backs up, and waits until I close and lock the door, before pulling off.

CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR

Bennett

The water cascades over me,trailing down my chest as I lean forward with my head resting against the shower wall. My pulse is still racing, my hands shake.

By the time I got home, Adley was already in bed.
