“Ha!” Cam laughed from the bar.
“Zip it, woman. And you will not say a word to her. That’s an order.”
“Good God, man. You used to be so much more fun.” Cam flipped him off.
Jason’s head bounced back and forth between Calder and Cam. His mind raced with the possibilities that maybe Gerri and her crazy ideas weren’t so crazy after all. It wasn’t that he hadn’t believed her when she had told him where to find his mate—he had, but part of him still doubted the possibility that she possessed some sort of special gift or power to find someone’s mate.
A variety of unexplainable powers could be found at any time any place in the shifter world. Majik—it made each of them who they were. They wouldn’t be alive without it. But the power to find mates and bring them together. That shit was unheard of—until Gerri Wilder.
“Any possibility of you telling me who my mate is?” Jason asked?
“Not a snowballs chance in Hell. You’re going to have to wait and find her yourself, but rest assured, if Gerri said she’ here—she’s here. I will offer up a bit of advice, though. Be patient with her. She’s been through Hell and back and that’s putting it lightly. Your mate has built one hell of a protective wall around herself. I can’t imagine that it will crumble easily.
