The elf was like a vision of holiday cheer in books Baran had read as a child. His attire consisted of a vibrant green tunic trimmed with red and gold accents. He wore red and white striped tights that peeked out from under the tunic. His shoes were classic elf-style, pointed at the toes and adorned with tiny bells that jingled with every step, creating a delightful, merry sound. A tall hat sat atop his head, matching the green of his tunic, and finished with a fluffy white pom-pom at the tip.

“Evening! I’m here to take your orders,” the elf announced with a wide smile, handing them each a menu. “Just check off what you’d like, and I’ll bring it right out!”

Baran and Daddy Darien scanned the menus, which offered a delightful selection of holiday favorites. As they made their selections and handed them to the elf, Baran glanced at Daddy Darien, feeling a wave of gratitude and joy.

“You know,” Baran began, his voice soft, “I’ve never celebrated anything like this in Turkey. We didn’t really do Christmas, and it’s such a magical experience here with you.”

Daddy Darien’s eyes sparkled as he listened to Baran. “I’m glad. It’s important to me you’re happy and we create special memories together.”

Baran nodded. “I’ve never felt happier. This is all so new and wonderful. Thank you for making me feel so special.”

The Christmas train, with its twinkling lights and cheerful music, toured the city. The sights were amazing.

As they waited for their meal, Daddy Darien reached across the table, taking Baran’s hand. “I wanted to talk about our relationship, about what we expect from each other. I care about you deeply, Baran, and I want us to be on the same page before we begin.”

Baran squeezed Daddy Darien’s hand gently. “I feel the same way. I want to be honest and open with you. I want us to support each other, no matter what.”

Daddy Darien smiled, his expression tender. “That’s exactly what I was hoping to hear. I want to be your Daddy Darien, who protects and loves you. I want to help you deal with life’s challenges and to celebrate the good times, too. Communication and trust are key for me.”

“I agree. I trust you completely as my Daddy Darien. I felt you were my daddy as soon as we met. You helped me through the darkest time of my life.”

“I want you to make a written list of what you like to do. What activities? Then I’ll make sure they happen. I have rules for my boys and consequences for breaking them. I printed out a sheet for you. I’ll give it to you later in private. If you agree, then we’ll begin our relationship on all levels.”

“What happens if I break a rule?”

“Spanking over my knee using my hand. Are you okay with that?”

“Yes, Daddy Darien. My last daddy did that too.”

“That’s good.”

“I wish I knew with the rules were now.”

“You’re going to have to wait for that. Every rule is for your protection and for the success of our relationship.”

The cute elf returned with their meals, and they enjoyed the delicious food, each bite enhancing the magic of the evening.

As the train gently rocked and the snowy landscape passed by outside the windows, Baran knew that this was the beginning of something truly special. With Daddy Darien by his side, the future looked bright and full of promise.

After a delicious meal on the train, they ventured into the nearby Christmas market. The stalls were brimming with handmade crafts, ornaments, and seasonal treats. Baran couldn’t help but marvel at the intricate decorations and the sheer variety of items on display.

They wandered through the market, hand in hand, picking out gifts and trinkets. Daddy Darien pointed out a delicate snow globe featuring a quaint winter village. “What do you think?”

Baran smiled, nodding. “It’s perfect. My mother would love this.”

“Are you going to call her?”

“I will.”

“Why don’t you sit on that bench and call her while I get us some hot chocolate with whipped cream piled on it?”

Baran picked up his phone and punched his mother’s number.

“Baran, where are you?” she asked.

“In New York. Do you know what happened?”

“Your father told me what happened. He said I was no longer safe in Turkey, so he’s moved me to Italy. Where are you staying?”
