“I should have askedwhatyou want to eat.” Todd put the car in park and killed the ignition.
Todd. He wanted to go down on him right here, because he was turned on likefuck. But his stomach was rumbling and they were in public. “Isn’t this a foodie town? There’s got to be some wacky organic German–Thai fusion sandwich and sushi shop, right?”
That earned him a snort. “Are you making fun of my town?”
Fazil smiled sweetly. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“Out.” Todd pointed at the door, his voice full of laughter.
He did as told, aware that he’d probably pay for that later. He shivered, despite the warm summer night. Todd joined him at the back of the car. “Let’s unload, then find you somethinginterestingto eat.” He pulled Fazil close and stole a kiss. “And no, it’s not going to be my dick. Not yet, anyway.”
“Pity.” He nipped Todd’s chin.
“I told you. I love making you wait.” Todd brushed a hand over Fazil’s ass and stepped away to open the trunk.
God.He was so damn turned on and confused and happy and worried. Work tomorrow. Pittsburgh in a week or two. Toddnow.
That’s who he needed to focus on. Todd. “As long as you don’t make me wait forever.”
A chuckle. “Have I ever disappointed you?” He hefted his backpack.
“No.” If anything, he’d been the disappointing one.
“You know, you never told me if last night was hotter than you’d imagined.”
Their bet. As if he could get more turned on. “You won that fair and square.”
“Thought so.” Todd shut the trunk. “And now I have a baseline.”
Shit. That only meant Todd would aim to top it. And him. Fazil’s pulse picked up. “Bring it.”
Todd’s laugh was dark and sensuous, and it rang in Fazil’s ears all the way up the apartment steps.

Todd took Fazil to a café with great food and good drinks, despite his quip against foodies. Not fusion, but the fare was good enough to make Fazil close his eyes after the first bite. “Okay, the food in this town is awesome.”
Good.A happy, satisfied Fazil would be fun later. “Better than Pittsburgh?”
He didn’t expect the hesitation. “Actually... there’re some amazing places there and more opening every day.” Fazil eyed the pasta on his fork. “Probably more here, but the quality is there, too.”
Even though Todd fought against it, disappointment welled up. “You really like that town.”
Fazil nodded. “I didn’t think I would, but it turned out to be a great place. And you can’t beat the cost of living.”
That didn’t sound like someone who wanted to move. Not that he wanted Fazil to, except he did. You’ve been together for a week.“Sounds nice.”
“It is. You should come visit.” Fazil’s smile was large and made the corners of his eyes crinkle in a way that never failed to turn Todd on.
He’d meant what he’d said on the mountain. Friend, lover, across the country—it didn’t matter, so long as he had contact. Still, he couldn’t keep the fantasy of them living together out of his head.
“Maybe I will.” For now, Fazil was here. Now that he knew Fazil liked it roughanddirty, he had plans. He’d managed to slip a condom and a small tube of lube into his back pocket, and it was only a matter of time before he put them to their intended use.
The anticipation kept his dick hard, but his quips made Fazil laugh and grin and look beautiful sitting across the table from him. Thankfully this place served smaller meals, so clearing their plates didn’t take that much time. Todd ran the side of his foot up Fazil’s calf and enjoyed his intake of breath.
Fazil didn’t order dessert. Seemed someone had gotten the hint.
Good.Todd felt like a live wire. All of his other partners had tiptoed around his past, treated it like shattered glass. But none of them had a kink like Fazil’s.
