There was Fazil’s thoughtful, calculating look. “Makes sense, given...” He focused on Todd. “We’re going to try to fix things. Working sixty hours a week isn’t sustainable.”

“Don’t I know it.” He tried to keep the bitterness out of the reply. Time to change the subject. “When did you play last?” He gestured to the book in Fazil’s hands.

“Last fall. Pinball kind of took over.” He turned a page. “One guy in the league has a ton of machines. I ended up helping repair them.”

“Sounds like fun.” Old-school engineering.

“Oh, it is. But I miss rolling dice, you know? There’s something about all those charts.”

Todd laughed. Fazil’s adorable geeky side was endearing, but he felt the same way. A wicked thought flashed through his mind and tightened his balls. He peered at the bookshelf, eyeing his bag of dice.

Fazil narrowed his eyes. “That’s a look I remember. What’s up?”

“Nothing.” Therewassuch a thing as being too much of a geek. Maybe. He glanced at his dice bag again.

Fazil poked him in the side. “Out with it.”

Arousal chased embarrassment. “Well, if you miss rolling dice, we could do something about that.”

Understanding and curiosity in Fazil. “I’m guessing you don’t mean playing with this.” He tapped the cover of the Dungeons and Dragons book.

“No.” Todd couldn’t keep the smile from pulling at his lips. “Well, maybe dragon, but not dungeon.”

Fazil squirmed. “What happens if I roll a one?”

Todd stroked his cheek, then gripped his chin. “Guess we’ll have to figure that out, won’t we?”

Fazil swallowed, something close to fear in his eyes.

Shit.“I’m not going to ask you to do anything you don’t want to do. We’ll have to make a list or a chart or—”

“Wait, you’re actually suggesting we make achartfor sex?” Fazil leaned forward, all signs of apprehension gone. “And roll a die?”

Someoneliked the thought of that kind of role-play. “Yes.” He ran his thumb over Fazil’s stubble, relishing the scrape of the bristle. “I think it’s also time to bring out Mr. Dragon.”

In the silence that settled between them, he couldn’t read Fazil’s expression or the beat of his pulse. About the time when Todd went into worry mode, Fazil grinned. “Better get a pen and some paper, then.”

Oh God, this was going to be fun. He pulled Fazil in for a quick kiss and rose. “Dice are on the shelf in the Crown Royal bag.” He headed into his office to collect a pad of paper and a pen and made a quick stop in his bedroom to collect the toy box that contained the dragon dildo. By the time he returned to the living room, Fazil had placed the AD&D manual back. Dice clattered against the surface of the coffee table, a familiar sound that brought back a tumble of memories.

Fazil focused on the box and his breath hitched. “Should I even ask?”

“Take a look. Tell me if there’s anything in there you like or don’t like. Especiallydon’tlike.” Because he’d take those off the table—or list.

A small nod. “You kinky?” Fazil opened the box and peered inside.

“Not exactly?” Todd settled on the couch. “I’m not part of the BDSM scene, but I like toys and I like a little tying up and shit like that.”

“Tying up or being tied up?”

“Prefer tying, but I’m open to both.” The thought of Z spread-eagle on his bed made his balls ache.

Fazil frowned, fished out a pair of nipple clamps, and dropped them on the table. “These are a big nope.”

“For wearing or using?”

He let out a huff of air. “You’d let me...” Both eyebrows rose.

“Maybe. If I rolled a one.”
