You wouldn’t let me go.
Don’t let me go, darlin’
Don’t let me go.
Although our paths are winding roads.
I will be here, through thick and thin.
You are my world, my love, my kin.
Don’t let me go.
Don’t ever let me go.
Cam sat beside me now, his fingers wrapped in mine, holding me close as we both listened to Sage’s heart being spoken through his song.
When it was over, Sage dropped his head in silence, and I realized I had tears streaming down my face. There had always been a part of Sage that spoke to me. Even without words, I knew when he was happy or sad, conflicted or confused.
But this song, the way he wrote it just for me, broke me in ways I knew could never be repaired.
It was his plea to me. Asking me to always be with him. To never let go of our love and friendship.
Before I knew it, Sage was kneeling in the dirt at my feet, his hands cupping my face as he kissed away the fallen tears. Each one, a reminder of his love and the perfection of the song.
“Happy eighteenth birthday, London. I love you.”
Sage kissed my temple, and then my cheek and finally my lips. I could taste my own tears on his lips, as his tongue swept inside my mouth, claiming me and fanning the fires that burned inside my body.
Cam’s hand trailed down my hair that cascaded down my back, his fingers playing with the locks and inching down ever closer toward my butt. When their hands were on me, there was nothing I could do to ward off the utter excitement and frisson that turned me hotter than an ember in the fire.
Sage pulled back and Cam began suckling at my neck, immediately finding that sensitive spot below my ear sending sparks racing through my blood.
And then Cam’s voice, so deep and rough, turned me into a blazing inferno.
“I want to give you my present now, too, London. But it’s not music or lyrics.” He was so close to my ear, his warm breath singing my skin. “My present requires you to lay down with your legs spread wide.”
My eyes flew open to see Sage in front me, still on his knees wearing a sinful grin. I licked my lips and turned to Cam, saying the only thing I could say.
“It sounds perfect. Exactly what I want.”
Cam helped me to my feet and we entered the tent, Sage holding the flaps open for us as he followed behind, closing it again and zipping it up to shut out the night sky.
It had gotten dark, but we had a small LED lantern in the corner, which cast a soft yellow glow across the shadows of the space. My heart hammered in my chest, not from nerves, but the thrill of what we were about to embark on. Over what we were going to do together.
What I was about to give these boys that they would carry with them always and forever.
Although there’s never been any resentment or jealousy between the three of us, tonight could easily spur those feelings. Because of that, I was ready to offer a solution that would be the fairest and most unbiased approach in this situation. Although I technically wanted both of them to take my virginity, logically, we all knew only one could do it.
Reaching into my pocket, I produced a coin, holding it out in the palm of my hand. They looked at it curiously, their expressions confused.
“I want to sleep with both of you tonight, but I won’t choose between you. The coin will do the choosing.”
With that frank decision made, it was either heads or tails.
Chapter 17
We all stood there, uncertainty swimming through us, unsure of what to do with ourselves until Sage found his voice of authority and took charge.
