“Lee ...” Reiya smiled, staring into his beautiful pools. “You are my mate.” She watched his eyes widen and a big smile spread over his face. He lifted her in his arms and twirled her around.
“I’m so relieved!” He crashed his lips against hers roughly and excitedly. They were mutual mates. A huge burden was lifted off his chest. He pulled back and looked at her enthusiastically. “Selene took her good old time. I wanted to talk to her about this a long time ago, but I can’t with Selene. With her being the goddess with precognition and premonition, we aren’t allowed. One of the rules about keeping balance is that Selene is off limits to most of us unless she visits us herself. And even then, questions and answers are at a minimum.” Lee squeezed his arms around Reiya and lifted her up into the air. He swirled her around for a second time before setting her down and flashing her the biggest smile.
He then lowered his head down to meet hers, pushing himself into her lips and dipping his tongue into her mouth. His emotions were at a euphoric high, and the mate sparks between them dragged him deeper. He felt her responding to his kiss, the mate pull drawing her in deeper too, and she didn’t have the experience to stop her strong desire. He gently pulled away from her and listened to her quiet whimper. “I don’t think we’re going to be able to share the same room now,” he teased. He watchedas Reiya bit her lip and a red hue stained her cheeks. His eyes danced in amusement as he watched her become embarrassed.
“Baby, don’t be embarrassed in front of me. I’m your mate,” Lee said with a new, confident air.Damn straight.She wasn’t only his mate, but he was hers.

Reiya leaned her forehead into him. She raised her hand and rested it on his chest, digging her fingers in his shirt lightly. She took in a gentle whiff. It was like the scent of fresh spring … well, at least that’s how she could describe it in her mind. “Lee,” she whispered out. “Lee, I need you.”
“What do you need, baby?” he asked gently.
Reiya felt a bit irritated. That was the end of that sentence. Just, I need you. Man, she was really going to have to spell this out for him. He had a thing for embarrassing her. “Lee, umm … when you marked me, it didn’t—”
“It didn’t what? It didn’t work?” Lee couldn’t understand what she was trying to tell him. He needed to mark her again?
Reiya let out an airy chuckle. “Will you just listen to me?” She looked up at him and smiled. “Yes, it worked. But as you know, we didn’t complete the bond.” She bit her lip and watched him nod, staring at her intently.
She took a deep breath, and her cheeks flushed with embarrassment over what she had to ask. She looked up at him with her big blue eyes. “My body … there’s an influx of energy that won’t settle down until we’re fully bonded. We can’t wait anymore, Lee. I need you … to …” Reiya watched as his eyes began to darken, finally understanding what she needed.
“Reiya.” He lifted her chin as he called out her name in an airy breath.
“Is that alright? I know you said waiting would be best—”
Lee leaned in and took her lips gently. She could feel his fingers trembling slightly on her face. He slowly deepened his kiss. No more words were needed. He knew what she was trying to ask him in her own adorable way. Once he figured it out, it made everything that much more intense. She was asking for him to mate with her. She. Was. Asking. HIM. That was alwayshis deal breaker. Then, knowing that her body was being affected by not completing the bond … that was it. No more words were needed. Not now. He watched her gaze trail over his stomach and then back up to his eyes and felt encouraged seeing that she also wanted him. Reaching behind her, he gently unzipped her dress, letting the silky material fall to the floor. His breath caught as he greedily took the sight of her in. She was perfect. She was his.
He discarded his bottoms, completely undressing himself. He immediately pressed himself into her and began to burn her lips with his heat. Slowly, he backed her up to the bed, guiding her down.
